TIMING February 1 st September October opening entry Event start Event end 3.EVENT DESCRIPTION: 3.1 SIERRA NEVADA Classic is a regularity event for historic cars. The route is to be navigated and an average speed of 50 kmh per hour or below is to be observed. This event takes place on open roads and belongs to the regularity «ballade» for historic cars and therefore it is not a speed competition Time controls exist to check that competitors respect open road regulations and local regulations. 3.2 The road book will only use precise metric tulip arrows to indicate, or non-metric tulip arrow, no maps. 3.3 Participants will be divided in 3 categories : -Regularity CLASSIC : high average speed (max 49km/h) -Regularity TOURING : low average speed (max 45km/h) -Navigation DISCOVERY : Same route but no time check

2 4. VEHICLE ADMISSION 4.1 Number of cars admited to start will be 75 for all categories. All cars must have FIVA ID. FIVA international card will be presented at the document s control and technical controls. 4.2 Foreign competitors may obtain FIVA card at their national FIVA authority. 4.3 Cars eligible in Regularity categories Classic and Touring will be accepted before 31/12/1978 Cars eligible in Discovery category will be accepted before 31/12/ Organization staff reserves 10 places for pre-1950 cars. 4.5 Organization staff has the right to refuse car s entry form without being obliged to give any reasons. In that case, a total refund will be made. 4.6 Information about the car s year and type as indicated on the FIVA ID will be used for the official use. 4.7 Classic et Touring catégories will be divided in the following classes : Classe 1 before 31 december 1950 Classe 2 From january 1st 1951 to december Classe 3 From january 1st 1961 to december Classe 4 From january 1st 1969 to december Only the personal assistance crews involved in the official organization list are allowed to work on a competitor s car. 5. CARS PRESENTATION: 5.1 start will be refused to any car that : - does not belong to the original condition or FIVA spirit. prescriptions. - is in a restoration process or badly rusted - is not in order with the present regulations - does not have FIVA ID 5.2 Technical rules All cars must be in accordance with their own countries regulations, as well as the technical rules of this regulation.the pre-event technical control will specifically check the security items; legal matters, appearance and authenticity Equipment used to measure distance (Brantz, halda, tripmaster, retrotrip) may have a mechanical screen or LCD,LED screen Competitors are forbidden to use any electrical or electronic means to communicate during navigation (computer, GSM) Any computerized system connected (or not) to the car is forbidden. Blunik system is forbidden All road books will be given to all teams the same day. (Calibration will be accurately verified) 6. TEAM COMPETITORS 6.1 one team will be made of 2 persons minimum indicated on the official list of competitors during the whole event. 6.2 the entire team must be on board the car during the whole event except when the car is stopped at a time control, in case of emergency or on a marshal s request. 6.3 During the whole event, the team must respect the legal obligations about traffic regulations. 6.4 During the whole event, it is forbidden: - to transport, or carry or pull any competitor s vehicle with another vehicle. - to block intentionally other competitors. - to behave using incompatible manners with fair-play.

3 6.5 Documents to be available in the car at any time are : registration card showing the exact address of the owner and valid insurance document. 6.6 Team about to be overtaken must give way as soon as there is space enough on the road. Team s overtaking must do it respecting the public traffic regulations and considering the road conditions. 7 APPLICATION S EXPENSES: Application expenses for 2 persons and one car in 4 and 5 stars hotels are : (double or twin room) (regularity category Classic or Touring ) : 3600 euro (double or twin room) ( category Discovery ) : 3300 euro Application expenses for 2 persons and one car in 3 stars hotels are : (double or twin room) (regularity category Classic or Touring ) : 2900 euro (double or twin room) ( category Discovery ) : 2600 euro After March , participation fee will be 200 euro more (in the above order): 3800, 3100, 3500 and 2800 euros 7.1 Any competitor who wishes to apply to this event must send back the application form (available as well on our website In order to be registered, the amount of 800 euro should be paid. Balance should be paid latest As the number of competitors is limited to 75, pre-entry forms will be primarily accepted 7.2 Payment facilities: The application fee (free of bank expenses for us) can be made : - by cheque (15 euro extra charge) - by money bank transfer in euro currency (with driver s name as transfer identification) to our bank account: n DELTA LLOYD BANK Place d Armes NAMUR - BELGIUM Transtunisienne Historique A.S.B.L BIC Code : BNAGBE-BB IBAN Code : BE Application fee for one team (2 persons- 1 car) includes : - 5 days rallying - All hotels nights 4 or 5 stars (or 3 stars option) from Sunday evening - sept. 27 to Saturday morning -oct 03 - breakfasts, lunches except Friday oct.2, diners (5), gala evenings - compulsory competition insurance (1) - road-book set - road booklet - rally aluminium plates - door numbers - trophies and souvenirs - luggage service and mechanical assistance - rescue trailer - other useful documents (1) this insurance includes compulsory civil responsibility for car and 2 people on board and legal assistance during the whole event. Damages between competitors are not covered. Europ Assistance, Mondial assist. or similar assist. is compulsory for every competitor. 7.4 Entry fee will be refunded 85% if the competitors decline with a proper postal letter before 1 st june After this date no more refunds will be made, however special cases will be considered by the organization and a 50 % refund might be made. Pre-entry fee (800 euro) will be totally refunded in case of cancelation before 1 st may COMPETITION NUMBERS ATTRIBUTION:

4 Competition numbers will be given in order of the application s reception and fee s payment with priority for the oldest cars and pre-entry applications. 9. EVENT DESCRIPTION : 9.1 start : - start will be given minute by minute - official time of the event is official Belgian mean time (telephone) 9.2 control booklet - at the start, each competitor will receive a booklet - this booklet must be presented to any marshal s control - information written on this booklet is entirely under responsibility of the competitors - any crossing out must be signed by a marshal and if not, the risk of disqualification is possible - lost or damaged booklet will lead to a 1800 penalty - In case of retirement, the booklet must be returned to the organizers - no information should be written on the booklet with a pencil 9.3 controls Time controls opening: 30 minutes before the time of the first competitor. Time control closing: 30 minutes after the time of the last competitor Passage controls: At the passage control, the marshal stamps the booklet without mentioning the hour time Time control: time check is when a member of the team gives the booklet to the marshal, who immediately writes the time on it if the car and the 2 competitors are on board Speed control: speed controls may happen during the whole event, mainly in the cities and villages. Competitors should respect the indicated speed limit signs alongside the road. These controls might be done by marshal s organization, FIVA observer, police or traffic patrols REGULARITY TESTS: At the start of a regularity test, competitors will be given one or several average speed(s) in km/hour. They should respect as much as possible this/these speed(s) until the end of the regularity test. Several arriving time checks may happen in one regularity test distance. The arriving time check will be located in a distance described in the road-book or signalled by the marshal at the regularity test s start. For each competitor, time check result will be written on the booklet in hour, minute, second at the end of the regularity test. 10. START AREAS, REGROUP AREAS AND FINISH AREAS : 10.1 The organization decline any responsibilities for damages to the cars parked at the start areas, the regroup areas or the finish areas even if they are guarded by any security officer or marshal. 11. SERVICES AND PETROL REFUELING : 11.1 Petrol refuelling areas will be mentioned in the road-book Any form of non-organized assistance is forbidden In any cases, a «supporter» or «assistance» car will not be allowed to follow or be in front of a competitor specifically in the Regularity Test!. By doing so, there is a risk of disqualification. 12. ADDITIONAL REGULATIONS - INTERPRETATION: Any possible modifications or additional rules to this event will be announced by numbered and dated pages that will automatically be included in this regulation. In case of different interpretations, the text written in French language will be the reference for law applications. Written briefings and oral briefings are automatically included in the regulations. 13. DOCUMENT CONTROLS :

5 13.1 «Notice to attend» letter will indicate when and where the documents controls will be done At the documents control competitors will put their signature on a resort s abandonment document The driver must be in possession of his valid driving license Driver and navigator must be in possession of: «notice to attend» letter, ID or passport, a legal authorization allowing to drive the car if neither the driver or navigator is the owner of the car, car insurance documents valid for the rally period, international FIVA ID. 14. TECHNICAL CONTROL : 14.1 «Notice to attend» letter will indicate when and where the technical control will be done Competitors must be on time at the place indicated in the notice to attend letter. If not, penalty is100 pts Competition door numbers, rally identification s plates and organization advertisement must be put on the car at the indicated spots before technical control All matters of the 5 th paragraph may be properly checked. 15. PENALTIES : 15.1 Refused start : 1- non-conform vehicles paragraph 4.1, 4.3, 5.1, 5.2.1, 5.2.2, 5.2.4, 6.5, 13.2, 13.3, non payment of the complete fees 3- pre-reconnaissance of the rally 15.2 Exclusion : 1- non-conformity to the following paragraphs : 15.1, 5.2.3, 6.1, 6.2, 6.4, 11.2, dangerous driving 3- impoliteness or threat towards a marshal 4- crossing out on the booklet without marshal s signature 5- over speeding noticed by a marshal 15.3 Penalties : 1- all-inclusive penalty whole stage 1800 pts 2- more than 30 minutes late on stage 1800 pts 3- time control missing 450 pts 4- passage control missing 120 pts 5- regularity test missing 240 pts 6- maximum penalties on regularity 120 pts 7- per minute in advance on stage 120 pts 8- per minute late on stage 15 pts 9- per minute in advance on regularity 120 pts 10- per minute late on regularity *60 pts 15.4 age-coefficient *: Penalties for being late will be modified by an age-coefficient calculation, very old cars will have less penalties than more recent ones: example : -for 1 minute late (60 points), a BMW will get 39 pts penalties an MGA 1960 will get 60 pts... a BMW will get 72 pts COMPLAINTS AND APPEAL: 16.1 Only the individual and written complaints will be acceptable if the amount of 200 euro is joined to the document. This amount will be totally refunded if the complaint is valid Any complaint, concerning the stage, must be given to the event director (or director s assistant) at the latest half an hour after competitor s arrival Any complaint, concerning classification s results, must be given to the event director (or director s assistant) at the latest - half an hour after stage s results have been posted up It is always possible to appeal to the event organization s decision by contacting FIVA observer whose decision is definitive and irrevocable. 17. CLASSIFICATIONS : 17.1 Several classifications will be posted up at the end of the event, rewarding competitors:

6 a - overall classification Classic b - overall classification Touring c classes classification Classic & Touring d- vintage classification pre 1950 e - mixed team classification f - feminine team classification 17.2 In case of ex-aequo for a,b,c,d,e points, the weakest cubic capacity of car s engine will be the winner and after, if still ex-aequo, the oldest car will be the winner. 18. TROPHIES AND SOUVENIRS ( per categories) : 18.1 Overall Classification: Classic 4 th team : 2 trophies 5 th team : 2 trophies 18.2 Overall Classification : Touring 18.3 Vintage Classification : 1st team : 1 trophy 2nd team : 1 trophy 3rd team : 1 trophy 18.4 Classes Classification: 18.5 Mixed Classification : 18.6 First feminine team : 2 trophies 18.7 Special stage trophy : 2 trophies per stage 18.8 Souvenirs : 2 souvenirs per team 18.9 Overall classification s trophies are not cumulative with the classes classification s trophies.
