2 Mr. Pierre Benning (FR) Directeur adjoint informatique Bouygues Travaux Publics France Ms. Lejla Secerbegovic (D) Architect and BIM expert Max Bögl Group Germany Pierre Benning is a Civil Works Engineer, in charge of technical computing at Bouygues TP (Bouygues Civil Works division). He is expert in collaborative work processes around digital models. He participates in development of specificationtools for simulation, information sharing and technical data management. Pierre Benning contributes to the European Project INPRO and to the French National Project COMMUNIC, and he is currently one of the leaders of the openinfra initiative and the new French National Project MINnD Through two on-going projects, Philharmonie of Paris and Rocade L2 of Marseille, Bouygues Construction has gathered real experiences of collaborative works and BIM processes, where the complete value chain has been mobilized to facilitate exchange, controls and decisions. Some significant projects realized in recent years by the company Bouygues Construction, demonstrate the gigantic size and the complexity of the current projects, realized with shorter and shorter deadlines. Bouygues Construction is involved in several national and International research projects, in order to deliver specifications for software editors and standard organizations, but also to draw up some processes to establish efficiency and trust between partners. Lejla Secerbegovic has an architectural background and more than 6 years of working experience in architectural offices in Vienna, Cologne and Aachen. She graduated from TU Vienna and has a strong focus on implementation and use of software in architectural practices. Since October 2012 she is a member of the corporate development department at the Max Bögl Group and in charge of implementation of software throughout the BIM process. Lejla Secerbegovic is involved in the Implementation of BIM Methods in the construction company throughout projects lifecycle starting from the offer, project analysis, pre-febraction up to the construction site monitoring. Max Bögl Group was founded in 1929 in Neumarkt, Germany and ranks with its employees among the top 5 construction companies in Germany today. Thanks to innovations in technology and organization over the past decades, Max Bögl Group transformed from a single construction service provider into a technology and service company that operates globally. Max Bögl Group is considered as one of the BIM pioneers in Germany, having implemented BIM methods very early in its pre-fabrication process.

He has a degree in Civil Engineering, and a MBA in Corporate Management. He is an empowering stakeholder of the Construction Industry to use BIM, IPD and Lean Construction methods. Antonio Meireles have often seen contractors implementing BIM, but in reality, in most cases, it s more of a superficial BIM than BIM itself. He has learned from virtual construction projects around the world, that it takes determination and dedication to change the status quo. BIM has the potential for truly changing the way people plan, control, communicate and manage resources, but we need to dispel the myth that by buying a couple of software licenses, a firm can do BIM. Professionals in the building industry will feel threatened, departments won t want to share data and firms will need to map out process change. The true adoption of BIM takes focus and determination because it won t happen overnight. ndbim Virtual Building has specialized in BIM methodology constituted by professionals, Architects and Engineers. ndbim knows the industry, how companies operate, their addictions. Their knowledge is developed through real implementations of BIM in international construction companies which were recognized internationally. Marianne Thorbøll from The Danish Building & Property Agency in Denmark attended The European Public Estate Owners Building Information Modeling (BIM) Conference on the 22nd October 2013 in Brussels, where Mr. Adam Matthews presented an overview of The EU Public Procurement Directive (PPD) and the proposed reference to BIM. Marianne Thorbøll will give an orientation about the work to create a common understanding of BIM and BIM programmes across Europe, and how she sees the future integration of BIM in the European scale. The Danish Building & Property Agency is the state s property enterprise and developer. The Agency has the responsibility of creating modern, functional and cost-effective frameworks for some of the country s most important governmental institutions, for example the universities, the police, the courts and the government departments. Workspaces and buildings have a great influence on learning, efficiency and job satisfaction. The frameworks that The Danish Building & Property Agency creates for governmental institutions are therefore essential for them being able to solve their tasks and contribute to the development of the society. Through effective revealing of current and future needs in cooperation with the customers, The Danish Building & Property Agency develops the local solutions, which create the greatest possible value for the customer, and for the state and society.

Senior Architecte Design & Construction Massimiliano Fuksas Italy Emilie Koch graduated from the Delft University of Technology as architect and has been working as architect and project leader within MVRDV since Emilie Koch s experience covers a broad range of projects including national and international residential, office and master plan projects from competition to final design and she is responsible for the development of BIM within MVRDV. The design process of MVRDV is from origin strongly research driven and deeply collaborative. Central to the belief of MVRDV method is that architecture and urbanism is a device to shape and improve our environment. It is a landscape that consists of data, in other words a datascape. Datascapes are visual presentations of all the quantifiable forces that influence or even define the architects work. This strong collaborative model strengthens the dialectic environment in which projects evolve, and is for MVRDV the fundamental basis for excellent design results. Others try to fight constraints. MVRDV approaches these as a process of negotiation that in large part generates the design by operating as a network of numerous advisors and experts, spanning every discipline from sociologists to programmers, engineers and artist. Dong Cui graduated from Ecole National Supérieure d Architecture de Paris La villette as architect D.P.L.G. Dong Cui has been working as Project Manager and Head of study with Massimiliano FUKSAS Architetto since Dong Cui s experience covers a broad range of big international projects as the National Archives Centre in Paris, Euro - Mediterranean Centre in Marseille and Bao an International Airport, Shenzhen in China and others. It is characteristic of Dong Cui s work that it is based on free expressive shaping, which is translated into a clear geometric and modernist architectural expression. Studio Fuksas, led by Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas, is an international architectural practice with offices in Rome (since 1967), Paris (since 1989) and Shenzhen (since 2008). With built projects across Europe, Asia and North America, Studio Fuksas is characterized by an innovative approach as well as interdisciplinary skills and experiences consolidated over three decades through the design of master plans, offices, residential buildings, infrastructures, cultural centres, leisure centres, retail developments, hotels, shopping malls, public buildings, interior design and product design. Since the Eighties the office has been one of the leading offices of the contemporary architectural scene. Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas have received numerous international honors and awards.
