7 Water and Environment SINO-DANISH CENTER FOR EDUCATION AND RESEARCH Vision The vision of the SDC Water and Environment theme is that the SDC Centre - together with the mother institutions in the two countries will make a significant contribution to international knowledge in sustainable use and management of water in the landscape. The vision of the SDC Water and Environment Master programme is to train graduates with the required academic expertise, quantitative understanding and solution-oriented skills to understand and research integrated use of water and conduct safe management of the water resources at all scales.

10 Water and Environment SINO-DANISH CENTER FOR EDUCATION AND RESEARCH M.Sc.-program Fourteen compulsory and four elective courses Courses taught two in parallel for ~6 weeks periods Theory, lab exercises, field experiments, case studies, project work Cases and project work based on 3-4 selected Chinese watersheds/field sites Master thesis projects at collaborating CAS institutes _Programmes/Water_environment.aspx

12 Erfaringer med forskningssamarbejde Stor interesse for forskning i bæredygtige løsninger Fokus på bedst mulige teknologier og bedste metoder Behov for at bedre samarbejde på tværs mellem universiteter og institutioner i Kina (f.eks. mellem CAU og CAS), men også mellem discipliner her kan DK måske være brobyggere. Nogle forskningsinstitutter (fx CAS) er meget veludstyrede, men en del universiteter halter bagefter.
