6 KuURak Investigation on the Usability of Ultra High Strength Structural and Wear Resistant Steels financing approved by TEKES project schedule: project budget: (Rauno Toppila) the main topic on this research project is to discover new applications for the steels under investigation and test usability in practical conditions steels are tested in 12 SME s participating the project know how related to the use of these steels is also transferred to planning divisions participating the project 6

7 Jalosauma Investigation on the Usability of Ferritic Stainless Steels: Weldability, (MSK, HKa) financing approved by TEKES project schedule: project budget: the main topic on this research project is to study weldability of Ferritic Stainless Steels and test usability in practical conditions steels are tested in SME s participating the project know how related to the use of these steels is also transferred to planning divisions participating the project 7

8 ASA: ASA (Advanced Strain Analysis), KTUAS/HUAS/Outokumpu/Rautaruukki (JJo), project schedule: project budget: the main topic on this research project is to find applications to use GOM (Aramis, Argus, Atos) system for measure strains (true stress true strain curves), reverseengineering, roping- characterization, FEM- model evaluations, etc. 8
