2 Introduction In the Aarhus Seminar METNET partners will be presenting their latest developments n the Research and Development on metal structures. The papers and articles presented in the scientific section will be published in a book / e-book of the seminar. The general aim of the METNET network is to match and utilize the know-how and activities of European Research and Development organizations, to develop new products, services and business for the companies on metal structures, to support innovation processes in companies involved in the manufacture and design of metal structures and to promote best practice and knowledge transfer between companies, research and training organizations in Europe.
