6 Light as a Service Why? Light a major sustainability focal point (up to half of the energy use in buildings and foundational service for economic development). More service-oriented business models have a potential from a sustainability point of view. Aura Light s products are energy-efficient and have longer life-times than many competitors products, but also a higher initial price. Higher initial "cost" an obstacle for sales. Technology shift (LED) an obstacle for sales. LAAS offerings a possible solution. Aura Light s vision: To become the global leading partner for sustainable lighting solutions to professional customers.

How to change the internal set-up and processes of the company (competence development, recruitment, renewal of business- and product development processes)? How to change the external interaction and processes of the company (new stakeholder networks, facilitation of collaboration around business- and product development with customers, suppliers, etc.)? To what extent can a company be proactive and involved in the facilitation of stakeholder collaboration (considering, e.g., procurement issues)?
