This chapter has been lead for the last two years by Ruth Lapio, CMA (AAMA), who has done a fantastic job. Thank you Ruth for all that you have done. You have really brought the TEAM together. I hope to continue as a TEAM. The speakers are set for the year. Of course there is always a snag and a change at the last minute. You will notice that there has been a change of officers and committee chairs. This is a positive move in our chapter. Our chapter has shrunk in membership due to the splitting of the chapter. Manatee County has split off and their chapter contains all of Manatee County and the northern part of Sarasota County, as well as Desoto County. It has been a positive move in the northern area. Members are now obtaining CEU s in that area. When it comes to dues renewal time, you can choose which chapter you want to belong to. You can attend meetings that both chapters offer. Each chapter has information on the FSMA website (fsmaonline.org). Please go to the chapter section and look to see what works best for you to obtain CEU s. I am looking ahead to a positive year with the changes we have made as a TEAM. Please take the time to do the survey in this newsletter. This will help us meet your needs. Please look around your place of employment and invite the non-member CMA or any one that might be interested in the topic that is being presented. I am looking forward to working with the Charlotte Vo-Tech and Southwest Florida College with the students and the new CMA s from the school. Hope to see you all at the meeting (remember to bring a guest) on September 1, 2011. Please bring ideas for a community service project. Also, please let me know if you are attending the AAMA National Conference. Deniece Jozefiak, CMA (AAMA) Southwest Chapter President
