Introduction cbox is a software that you can easily install on your computer. Once done, an online storage drive cbox appears in the file tree listing of your computer. That s simple! As from now, you can add your content (documents, photos, ) on the drive. By doing so, you re placing your data directly in your own private and secure storage environment located in The Netherlands. You can create, change and delete folders on the drive, like you re used to with the other file drives on your computer. Last but not least, you can access and manage your data wherever and whenever you want through each device connected to Internet: laptop, smartphone or tablet. You (and your colleagues) will benefit of the everincreasing advantage of mobile working! The cbox local client cbox also delivers a local executable client which synchronizes data locally, and provides for 100% data access, independent of the network connection, this is called, offline working, for example on the plane, or from any location where internet connectivity is lacking or non-existent. The cbox local client will automatically synchronize any data changes or additions when the network appears. When the cbox Client is installed on any MAC OSX device simply copy any desired folders and/or files into the cbox client drive or folder. This data will automatically start syncing data to the Cloud. When complete, all data will exist on the users local PC, and in the Cloud. Every file that is created or modified will be immediately updated to the Cloud, for a fully protected copy, and accessible from any browser or mobile device. This client can be installed on multiple computers under the same user account. cbox is powered by Ippany. Installing the OS X Client Chapter 1 To access your cbox via the Mac client, you need to access the specified URL you received by email. Enter the user name included in the mail and the password you defined. URL: cbox - User Manual (EN) - Mac OSX - v1 Page 3
Click on the Mac OSX icon to download the client. Click on the Download button (Download set up one). cbox - User Manual (EN) - Mac OSX - v1 Page 4
Double click on the cbox.mpkg to start the installation. Click on the Continue button to proceed. cbox - User Manual (EN) - Mac OSX - v1 Page 5
Read the Software License Agreement. Click on the Continue button to proceed and Click on the Agree button to accept the license agreement. cbox - User Manual (EN) - Mac OSX - v1 Page 6

Setting up your account Chapter 2 Enter the domain URL you received by e-mail where you want to connect to (e.g. c1234567.cboxbasebusiness.be) and also your credentials. Even you can give the Drive name your own user-friendly name. Click on the Mount Drive button to mount your virtual cbox. cbox - User Manual (EN) - Mac OSX - v1 Page 10
Offline folders Chapter 3 To make content available when you are offline, select the Offline folders tab. Checkmark the folders you want to have available on your local disk in case you don t have an internet connection. These folders will automatically be synchronized when an internet connection is established. When the offline folders are set, you can see the progress of up- and downloads in the overview screen easily by clicking on the Overview link. cbox - User Manual (EN) - Mac OSX - v1 Page 11
Sharing files through an email message Chapter 4 Select the files and/or folders you want to share through email. Use the right mouse button on the selected files and/or folders, choose cbox and Send files. Select the period of availability for these shared files and/or folders. This period will start on the first time shared files and/or folder will be accessed by a recipient. Enter the email address of the person you want to share with. Multiple email adresses can be added seperated by a semicolon (;). Each email send by the system is uniueqe so nobody see with whom you sharing with. You can easily add your personal note to the share email message to notify why you are sharing these files and/or folders. Optional you will be notified by an email message when the files and/or folders are accessed for the first time (date and time stamp). Checkmark the option Please let me know if the files are downloaded. Click on Send now to share the files and/or folders. cbox - User Manual (EN) - Mac OSX - v1 Page 12
Chapter 5 Invite users for collaboration (Share folders) Share root folders of your account with other people by searching for them and add them to the list. Setup your own project group and start working together. Select a single folder for collaboration and use the right mouse button to view the context menu. Choose cbox and the option Share with. Enter an username or a part of it otherwise just enter a search query with at least 4 characters. Click on the Search button to open the result window. Select one of the users from the search results. Click on the Invite user button to select the username. Click on the OK button to add the invited person to the list. Checkmark the option Yes, send the invitation by email to this user. If you have added a wrong person, use the Delete button to remove an user from the list. cbox - User Manual (EN) - Mac OSX - v1 Page 14
Manage file versions Chapter 6 Add a file or select an existing file and open it by double clicking on it. Make your changes to the file. Save the file by using Ctrl + s or select save from the file menu. Close the editor application. Use the right mouse button on the file where you want to manage the version, select cbox and Previous versions from the context menu. Select the version of the file which you want to restore (or delete) and click on the Restore button. Click on the Close button to close this window. Each restored file from the version list is added back to your disk. Here you can decide if you want to keep the original file or delete it. cbox - User Manual (EN) - Mac OSX - v1 Page 15
