A new voice. A new road. Support the artistic expression of Sinfonietta Paris. Dedicated to chamber and orchestral musicians at the beginning of an exceptional performing career, Sinfonietta Paris expresses a new voice and relationship in the way it shares its music with the public. Guided by the belief that classical music ensembles must be artistically agile in order to be culturally relevant, SPCO embraces both chamber music and chamber orchestra worlds, presenting two concert series which blend and cross genres through the exploration and rediscovery of a significant and sometimes overlooked repertoire, offering fresh and innovative experiences to its audiences. Following the success of our first three seasons, we are excited to announce details of our 2015-16 season below, which will include six of our Cocktails & Conversations chamber series and three adventurous chamber orchestra concert programs. Join us June 18, 19 and 20 to discover Sinfonietta Paris and how you can become an partner in our continued growth. Anne-Sophie le Rol, violon www.sinfoniettaparis.org 2
New partners, new opportunities Our premier concert at Le Carreau du Temple represents an important step in the development of Sinfonietta Paris. In this new artistic space, Michael Boone and an ensemble of twenty exceptional young professional artists present an evocative program blending classical and jazz, Russian and American, featuring Pyotr Tchaikovsky s Souvenir de Florence and a unique work commissioned by the jazz saxophonist Stan Getz in 1961, entitled Focus. This premier concert also presents new financial challenges. Taking into consideration artistic, production, musician, communications and recording costs, the budget for this project is 15,000 and our goal is to finance this important moment through the gracious support of our patrons and partners. Cocktails & Conversations : A unique and sensational experience Rethinking the traditional classical concert, our Cocktails & Conversations series creates a blend of culture and social, live chamber music and wine tasting, providing a unique and engaging experience for our guests. Whether in the intimacy of a private Parisian residence or the elegant modernity of our artistic partner the Finnish Institute, this series affords guests the privilege of sitting close to the performing musicians and the opportunity meet and mingle with the artists and other culture lovers after. 3 www.sinfoniettaparis.org
