TSL offers a comprehensive range of Cat heavy equipment products and engines ranging from earth-moving to road and building construction to paving. 2. TSL offers an extensive range of lift trucks from Caterpillar that is paired with their product support services which include Planned Maintenance and Total Maintenance & Repair. 3. In electric power generation, TSL Power Systems is the Cat engines specialist for switchboard design, load testing, commissioning and maintenance. 4. In marine power, TSL is the specialist in Cat marine propulsion and auxiliary power. 5. TSL s industrial power provides packaging solutions of Cat engines for various types of pump OEMs including FM/UL fire pumps, product transfer pumps, hydraulic power packs and air compressors. 6. Maldives Singapore Christmas Island HEAD OFFICE PROJECTS PIPELINES FOR NEWATER 1. TSL provided Cat Hydraulic Excavators for the sewer construction in the shoring system, placement of bedding material and precise laying of pipes for Singapore s NEWater project. 2. NEWater is Singapore s project for reclaimed water as an alternative sustainable supply of water sources where it is purified via advanced technologies and ultra-violet disinfection making it ultra clean and potable. 3. Besides other Cat Hydraulic Excavators, the compact radius hydraulic exavators used for this pipe-laying project proved ideal for confined areas. THE SEMBCORP CHANGI NEWATER PLANT 1. TSL S packaged Cat 3516BHD diesel generating sets will be deployed to provide 100% backup power for Sembcorp Changi NEWater plant. 2. The Sembcorp Changi NEWater plant is the fifth and largest NEWater plant in Singapore and is one the largest water recycling plant globally. JURONG ROCK CAVERNS 1. Developed by JTC Corporation, the 1.47 million cubic meter Jurong Rock Caverns (JRC) 130 meters beneath Jurong Island s Banyan Basin is South East Asia s first underground cavern for secure storage of liquid hydrocarbons. The first phase is due to be completed in 2014. 2. The entire standby system of 3 engine rooms for Phase 1 will be provided by Cat generator sets packaged and supplied by TSL.
HISTORICAL MILESTONES 1966 Tractors Singapore Limited (TSL) was established on 20 January. 1982 TSL became the first Cat dealer outside North America to establish Quality Engine Rebuild (QER). 1991 On 2 January, TSL joined Caterpillar Power Professionals in recognition of its skills in sales application, designing, packaging and support of complete power systems. 1999 In January, TSL achieved the distinguished Singapore Quality Class award for successfully meeting criteria set by Singapore s Productivity and Standards Board. 2001 TSL became the first Cat dealer in Asia to open The Cat Rental Store. It was officiated by Larry E Walden, President of Caterpillar Asia Limited. 2003 TSL won the Caterpillar 6 Sigma award competition for Asia Pacific Division (APD) region. 2005 TSL was appointed as Cat Marine Excellence Centre s technical partner. 1980 TSL was appointed sole distributor for Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles and parts in Singapore in October. In November, TSL acquired franchise from Ford Motor Company to distribute Ford passenger cars and commercial vehicles in Singapore. 1983 TSL became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sime Singapore Limited and gained independent Caterpillar dealership status with service territories for Singapore and Christmas Island (Indian Ocean). 1994 TSL received ISO 9000 accreditation. 2000 TSL was assigned the service territory for Maldives on 15 June. 2002 TSL and Sime Darby Industrial Sdn Bhd along with two Cat dealers, formed a joint venture to purchase FG Wilson Asia Pte. Ltd. 2004 TSL was reconstructed into the Sime Darby Group and ownership was transferred to Sime Darby Industrial Holdings Pte. Ltd. 2006 TSL achieved World s Highest PODD (Percentage of Dealer Deliveries). TSL also received Caterpillar Inc s Highest Engine Sales In Asia for 2006 Award.
2007 For the second time, TSL received the Top Asia Pacific Power Systems Dealer Award for achieving highest engines sales. 2009 For the third time, TSL received Cat s Top Asia Pacific Power Systems Dealer Award for achieving the highest engine sales. 2012 TSL received the Gold Standard in Marine Service Capability Award by Germanischer Lloyd SE for Caterpillar brand marine engines. 2008 TSL and several other Cat dealers formed a joint venture to create APAC Energy Rental Pte. Ltd. to operate generator set rentals in the region, with the aim of capturing the opportunities around the region. 2011 TSL was awarded the Dealer Satisfaction Survey Award - world s highest from Caterpillar Financial Services. HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT TSL TRAINING CENTRE - SINGAPORE 1. TSL s 5,500 sq feet training centre is a Caterpillar certified 3-star hub. 2.
