Academy Descriptions For Rising 3rd-6th Graders Black Rocket Partner Black Rocket has over a decade of experience designing camps in the S.T.E.M. and Digital Arts fields. Every program is powered by the camper s innate imagination and designed to bring their ideas to life in a fun, handson, learning environment. All Black Rocket programs mirror real life experiences and the collaborative nature of the design process. Students are encouraged to work in pairs or teams for most of the Academy. WEEK 1: June 15-19 New! Kitchen Chemistry Who knows what chemicals lurk on your kitchen shelves? Create volcanoes, breed life forms, and rubberize a chicken bone, all with ingredients you already have in your kitchen pantry. Explore scientific concepts in a fun and funny way, with safe experiments that you can even try at home. Kodu Game Lab Race Trials Let s create games using Kodu, an intuitive visual programming language. You will develop a physicsbased racing game of your own design.
