ESA Navigation Support Facilities Rafael Lucas EUROPEAN SPACE AGENCY Rafael.Lucas.Rodriguez@esa.int
Background The ESA/ESTEC Radionavigation laboratory was created in 1989 to support the application of GPS and GLONASS in the European space projects. Laboratory has evolved to support the development of European GNSS projects: EGNOS and Galileo. System development Receivers Applications The ESTEC laboratory is complemented with the Application Specific Development Facility (ASQF) developed to support the validation of EGNOS applications ASQF is hosted in the EGNOS MCC site of AENA (Madrid). Use of the facilities has been/and is possible for external projects: e.g. testing of receivers.

SISNET Server Provides EGNOS messages in real time across the internet to external users. SISNET SISNeT server is deployed in the ENL for the development/validation phase
What is SISNeTlab? New ESA free software tool for Education. Students can quickly learn about SBAS systems and understand the information broadcast by those. Allows users quickly and easily assessing the performance of various SBAS systems. It gives the user a wide variety of analysis capabilities; Produced graphical outputs can help in comparing and better understanding the various SBAS systems. SISNeTlab is based on the ESA EGNOS Message Server (EMS).
