6 TPZ s perspective and product (1) EDAS distributes EGNOS data by terrestrial network in addition to the Satellite (GEO) broadcasting TPZ s interest in EDAS is in the possibility to develop innovative products/services for improving the robustness of existing applications and search for new applications/business models TPZ product ( - LoCation Server) deliver the following addedvalue services: Higher position accuracy even in case of GEO coverage limitation Enhanced accuracy up to 4 m (in various operational environments) Confidence/guarantee on the position (Protection level) with an availability 97 % (in life scenarios/real use cases) LCS is the result of TPZ R&D effort exhaustively proved in cooperation with several key players and users 6

17 TEST RESULTS: EDAS BASED SOLUTION (ACCURACY) In Urban Environment the visibility of EGNOS satellites is easily lost Using SBAS messages from EDAS and the vehicle raw data the differential solution could be computed along all the trial path Horizontal error (95%) = 1.6m 17
