The Work Hive with REED NCFE The Work Hive Students at Milton Keynes College will be given a chance to edge ahead of the competition in the hunt for jobs thanks to a new initiative from The REED NCFE Partnership. Launched in January 2013, the initiative has seen the setup of a special job shop at the College offering the kinds of vacancies which are rarely publicly advertised. Students also receive tailored training in the skills they need specifically to win these hidden jobs. As the College already provides young people with the skills they need to be both effective and successful in their chosen careers, the scheme will help students to understand how the real world of work operates; in particular, how to act professionally and productively in the work-based environment. Students will study for the REED NCFE 1, 2 and 3 Awards in Job Search and Interview Skills. Students will also have the opportunity to benefit from a tailored programme of student and employer engagement, employment consultation, job brokerage, careers advice and work experience. No appointment required - pop in and see the team! Or text them on 07885 808506/07885 808507 14
