1. INTRODUCTION The Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2015 is being conducted for the purpose of determining the eligibility / merit, for admission of Karnataka candidates and the ward/s of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants to the First year or First semester of full time courses for Government share of seats in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Farm Science courses i.e, B.Sc. (Agriculture), B.Sc. (Sericulture), B.Sc (Horticulture), B.Sc (Forestry), B.Sc. Agri Bio Tech, BHSc.(Home Science), B.Tech (Agri.Engg), B.Tech (Food Technology), B.Tech (Dairy Tech), B.FSc (Fisheries), B.Tech (Food Science &Tech)., B.Sc. (Agri. Marketing & Co-Op), B.Pharma and Pharma-D course, in Government / University / Private Aided / Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Karnataka for the academic year 2015-16. Admission to Government seats shall be made in accordance with the Karnataka Selection of Candidates for Admission to Government Seats in Professional Educational Institutions Rules, 2006 (in short Rules) as amended from time to time and therefore the details and instructions contained in this Information Booklet are subject to the said Rules. In case of any discrepancy, the Rules shall prevail. 2. MODE OF CONDUCTING THE TEST In order to obtain admission to any of the professional courses through KEA, a candidate must appear for the Common Entrance Test, which will be conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore (Herein after referred to as KEA). The Common Entrance Test-2015 will be conducted at 53 places, spread over Karnataka Candidates who have passed or are appearing for Qualifying Examination within Karnataka should write 'CET-2015' in a test centre assigned by the KEA within the district in which the candidate has studied 2nd PUC or 12th standard. # PRACTICAL TEST AND VERIFICATION OF DOCUMENTS TIME TABLE FOR AGRICULTURIST QUOTA Date Day Timings Subject Marks 16-05-2015 Saturday 9.00 am onwards 04-05-2015 to 12-05-2015 PRACTICAL test on Identification of Agriculture Related Specimens TO CLAIM SEAT UNDER AGRICULTURIST QUOTA* Verification of Documents for Agriculturist at the respective Practical Test Centres 200 # Minimum of 50% marks in Practical Examination is required to claim seat under Agriculturist Quota. Further, Agriculturist Quota is applicable only for Under Graduate courses detailed in 5 and 6 below. Practical Examination will be conducted at Bangalore, Hassan, Mandya, Raichur, Mysore, Munirabad (Koppal District), Arabhavai (Gokak Tq) Tamaka (Kolar Distruct), Mangalore, Bidar, Bagalkot, Dharwad and Shimoga. Practical Test Fees: Rs.500/- for General and OBC (Rs.250/- for SC, ST and Category -1), this fee amount shall be paid at the respective Practical Test Centre on the day of verification of documents in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Comptroller of the respective University. In the case of Agriculturist Quota, the merit list will be prepared based on 25% marks each, secured in concerned combinations in II year PUC (PCMB) & CET and 50% marks secured in the Practical Test. In case of B.V.Sc & AH merit will be prepared based on 50% of Marks secured in CET (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and 50% of marks scored in the practical test. * KANNADA LANGUAGE TEST: The candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats under Horanadu & Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses and whose mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu or Kodava, will have to undergo a Kannada language test, to establish their ability to speak, read and write Kannada. The Kannada Language test will be conducted by KEA as per the above schedule only in Bangalore Centre; therefore such candidates will have to appear for the 'Common Entrance Test - 2015' in a test centre located at BANGALORE Only. The relevant photocopy of the original documents of the parents in support of their claim such as marks cards, study certificates, etc., along with the CET admission ticket should be produced on the day of Kannada Language Test. The minimum passing marks for all Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates shall be 12 out of 50 marks in Kannada Language Examination conducted by KEA in order to be considered for assignment of ranks and to become eligible for allotment of seats in CET-2015. (The Kannada Language Test paper will be of 4 th Standard Level) However, the Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates who have studied TEN full academic years in Kannada Medium from 1st standard to 10th standard in places outside the state of Karnataka need not appear for Kannada Language Test conducted by KEA. Based on the performance of the candidates in the Common Entrance Test and the Qualifying Examination, as the case may be, the merit / rank list will be prepared and published. All the eligible candidates will be considered for allotment of seats in the order of their merit / rank and based on the options and as per the seat matrix issued by the Government. 2

3. WHO CAN APPLY? NOTE: The candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any Open University boards are not eligible for any of the professional courses through KEA. a) For Medical / Dental courses : A candidate who has passed the second year Pre- University or 12th standard or equivalent examination (herein after referred to as the Qualifying Examination or Q. E. in short) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in the Q. E. and who has secured not less than 50% of marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in the Common Entrance Test (herein after referred to as CET ) is eligible for admission to Medical and Dental courses. 40% of marks in both Q. E. and CET in case of SC, ST, Category-I and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) Category candidates. Based on the performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in the Common Entrance Test, the Medical / Dental rank list will be prepared and published for admission to Medical and Dental courses. b) For Indian System of Medicine and Homoeopathy courses: A candidate who has passed the Q. E. with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in the Q. E. is eligible for admission to Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses. 40% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST, Category I and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) Category candidates. Based on the performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in both Common Entrance Test and the Qualifying Examination by taking the marks in equal proportions, the ISM&H rank list will be prepared and published separately for admission to Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy/Yoga courses. NOTE: As per Government Order No. HFW 148 PTD 2014 Bangalore dated 18-08-2014, candidates who select Unani Course must compulsorily pass in Urdu Language Examination equivalent to 10 th standard conducted by the concerned colleges after the seat allotment before admission. Further, the candidates seeking admission to Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses, should have completed the age of Seventeen Years as on 31 st December of 2015. c) For admission to Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Forestry, Sericulture, Agriculture Biotech, Horticulture and Bachelor of Home science courses, Bachelor of Technology in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Food Science and Technology, Bachelor of Fishery Science, and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Marketing and Co-operation, Bachelor of Technology in Agriculture Engineering courses candidates who have passed the Q. E. with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology as optional subjects are eligible. Based on the performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology subjects in both Common Entrance Test and the Qualifying Examination by taking the marks in equal proportions, common rank list will be prepared and published for the above courses. 3

d) For admission to Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry course candidates who have obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects in Qualifying Examination are eligible. (40% for SC, ST, Cat 1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates) Based on the performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in the Common Entrance Test, the B.V.Sc & A.H. rank list will be prepared and published for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. courses. e) For admission to B-Pharma candidates should have passed 2 nd PUC / 12 th Std in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Physics Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM / PCB) with minimum 45% marks in aggregate for GM candidates, 40% for SC/ST, Category-I and OBC or passed Diploma in Pharmacy examination from an Institution approved by the Pharmacy council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy act and has secured a minimum of 45% of marks for GM candidates (40% for SC/ST, Category-I and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) candidates). Merit will be determined on the basis of performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects i.e., PCB or PCM marks whichever is highest in Common Entrance Test 2015. Common rank list will be prepared and published separately for admission to B-Pharma. Candidates who have passed Diploma in Pharmacy course seeking admission to B Pharma should compulsorily submit their photocopy of D Pharma (final year) Marks card on which CET number boldly written to KEA on or before 20.05.2015. Failing which Rank will not be assigned to the candidate. f) For admission to Pharma-D : Candidates should have passed in 2 nd PUC / 12 th Std with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or passed in Diploma in Pharmacy examination from an Institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act. Merit will be determined on the basis of performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects i.e., PCB or PCM marks whichever is highest in the Common Entrance Test 2015. Common rank list will be prepared and published separately for admission to Pharma-D. Candidates who have passed Diploma in Pharmacy course seeking admission to Pharma D should compulsorily submit their photocopy of D Pharma (final year) Marks card on which CET number boldly written to KEA on or before 20.05.2015. Failing which Rank will not be assigned to the candidate. Candidates who have passed Diploma in Pharmacy course seeking admission to 2 nd year B Pharma(Lateral Entry) should compulsorily submit their photocopy of D Pharma (final year) Marks card on which CET number boldly written to KEA on or before 20.05.2015. Failing which Rank will not be assigned to the candidate. g) For Engineering / Technology courses: A candidate who has passed the Q. E. with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / 4

Biology / Electronics / Computer Science as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained an aggregate minimum of 45% marks in the optional subjects in the Q. E. is eligible for Engineering / Technology courses. 40% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST, Category-I and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) Category candidates. Provided that, the marks obtained by the candidate in Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science in the Q. E., will be considered in place of Chemistry, in case the marks obtained in Chemistry is less for required aggregate percentage, only for the purpose of determination of eligibility and not for the purpose of determination of rank, in respect of Engineering / Technology courses. Based on the performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in both Common Entrance Test and the Qualifying Examination by taking the marks in equal proportions, the Engineering rank list will be prepared and published. h) For Architecture course : A candidate who has passed the Q. E. with Mathematics as one of the optional subjects and secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in all subjects in Q. E is eligible for admission to Architecture course. 45% of marks in the case of SC, ST, Category-I, OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) candidates, and person with disability of mental retardation or mental illness (including dyslexia). Provided that, a candidate should also appear and secure a minimum of 40% marks in NATA (including SC, ST, Category-I and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) category candidates as per THE COUNCIL OF ARCHITECTURE IN ITS LETTER NO. CA/ 5/ACADEMIC- NATA/DATED 20-03-2008) conducted by the Council of Architecture. The last date to appear for NATA is 20-05-2015. The candidates should submit the photocopy of the NATA SCORE CARD along with 12th std. marks card by mentioning the CET number on or before 22-05-2015 to KEA either in person or through 'Speed Post'. Based on the performance of the candidates in both Qualifying Examination and NATA, by taking the marks in equal proportions the Architecture rank list will be prepared and published. WHAT IS NATA? National Aptitude Test in Architecture or NATA is an All India level entrance examination conducted by the Council of Architecture for 200 marks, for admission of candidates to First year of five-year full time B. Arch. Degree course. The Architecture seats in Government, Aided and Un-aided institutions of the State are offered ONLY to the candidates who have appeared for NATA and who have obtained the prescribed minimum marks in both Qualifying Examination and NATA. Therefore, all the candidates who want to be considered for allotment of Architecture seats, should compulsorily appear for NATA, and should obtain a minimum of 40% marks including SC, ST, Category-I and OBC category candidates in NATA (In other words one has to secure a minimum of 80 MARKS OUT OF 200). Such candidates should obtain and submit their NATA scores along with the copy of the 2nd PU / 12 th Std. Marks Card (by boldly writing their CET Number on the NATA score card) to the KEA either in person or only through Speed Post on or before 22-05-2015. 5

NOTE : Candidates who do not pass in all the subjects in the qualifying examination and candidates who do not possess the academic eligibility detailed above for various Professional Courses, will not be eligible to be considered for allotment of seats in the respective courses. A candidate who passes in all the subjects in the qualifying examination and later withdraws one or more subject for reappearing in the qualifying examination for improving his performance will also not be considered for allotment of seats in the regular round and will be treated as a supplementary candidate. The SC / ST/Category-I / OBC eligibility criteria is applicable to persons of Karnataka origin who are claiming eligibility for Government seats under clauses (a), (b), (f), (h), (j), (k) (l) and (o) and the same is not applicable to clauses (c), (d), (e), (g), (i), (m) and (n) of Item - 6 i.e., Eligibility Clauses to claim Government Seats. Not only a candidate who has passed the qualifying examination with requisite marks but also a candidate who is appearing for the Q.E. and expecting the results is eligible to apply for the Common Entrance Test 2015. Students appearing for Karnataka 2nd PUC Annual 2015 need not submit their Q. E. marks card to the KEA, as it will be obtained directly from the Department of PUE. However, all other students who have passed 12th standard examination such as CBSE, CISCE, 10+2, from other boards (including J & K) before 2015 and who are appearing for 2015 annual exam must COMPULSORILY send a photocopy of their 12th standard marks card by mentioning their CET Number to KEA. Repeater students of Karnataka 2nd PU also should submit their photocopy of the marks card on or before 20-05-2015. Otherwise, the results of such candidates will be withheld for want of Q. E. Marks. NOTE ONE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM Hither to KEA was sending the application cum brochure to the schools and colleges in the state of Karnataka. From this year candidates have to enter the application details through online to become eligible for admission to Professional Courses through Karnataka Examinations Authority. There is no pen and paper form. The conventional method of pen and paper filling of form is done away with from this year. Please note the following. 8

Online application is a user friendly application. First candidates have to download the blank application and in consultation with parents confirm the information / details to be entered in the downloaded application form and familiarise the same by practicing at home. Candidates will be provided with all the information required for each entry during filling of online application. Most of the fields will be only a selection from the readily available information; and all the fields are self explanatory with dropdown menu; the candidates have to select the suitable / appropriate items from the list. The entire online application process is in two phases. In the first phase candidates will fill the details and can edit the data any number of times and also can take the draft printouts before selecting the declaration. Before commencing the second phase, candidates can edit / delete / add any information any number of times. In the second phase the candidates have to select the declaration after confirming themselves that there are no changes to be incorporated or all the entries made by them in the online application are correct. Once the declaration is done there is no provision to change / edit / delete / add any information to the entries already made by the candidates. Candidates are informed to make sure that the entries made before declaration are correct. In the second phase candidates have to select the declaration item for declaring themselves that the entries made by them are correct. After declaration candidates have select the bank / post office from the list and download the challan for making the payment at the respective bank / post office selected. After completion of all the process the candidates are required to take a final print out of the online application form for further process at the time of online seat allotment. 9

5. Method of Applying: First Phase: Step1: Candidates is required to select the link CET-2015 UG Online Application by browsing URL on web http://kea.kar.nic.in. Step2: Candidates has to click on New User? Click Here to Register on the home page of online application form. Candidates will have to provide all the required information in the candidate registration form and submit. Note: After completion of entry of all the details candidates will receive an Application number and User-ID to their registered mobile phone number and email-id and also same will be displayed on the screen. Step3: A Login Prompt will be displayed and candidate is required to enter the User ID and Password created by them and Login. Step4: On successful login by the candidates Student information will be displayed, in which the candidates has to start entering the required information. Step5: Once the candidates complete the student information entries, he/she will have to save the entries made. Step6. The candidates will enter the all the study details and select save and next button. Step7. After successful saving the study details, the candidate has to upload scanned images of Photograph, candidate signature, candidate Left Hand Thumb Impression and Parent Signature and select save and next button. Important: After completion of the above steps, the candidate has to take the draft printouts, carefully verify the entries made by him/her and if any changes are required he/she can do so by login in any number of times before selecting the declaration. Second Phase: In this phase, the candidate will select the declaration, read and understand it completely and then select Submit button. After submission select the e-post 10

office/bank challan, download and take a printout of the challan and make the payment in the respective bank / post office. Step 1: Candidate has to take the printout of the Challan copy which is in triplicate. Candidate of Karnataka origin has to pay an amount of Rs. 650/- for General and OBC (Rs.500/- for SC / ST Category-1). Rs. 750/- in case of candidates residing outside the state of Karnataka and Rs. 5,000/-* in case of candidates residing outside India. The candidate has to pay the requisite fee in any of the branch of Central Bank or Indian Bank or Axis Bank or State Bank of Mysore or Syndicate Bank or in any computerized e-post Office. The bank / e-post office will retain bank / post office copy of the Challan respectively and handover the remaining two copies of the Challan to the candidates. (*The candidates who are residing outside India shall pay the fees in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, payable at Bangalore, the Demand Draft should be sent to KEA address by mentioning the online Application number on the backside of the Demand Draft along with the copy of the final printout of Application) Step 2: Candidates has to take the printout of the application form on A-4 Size sheet of paper. Afterwards he/she has to obtain Principal seal and signature from the college where he/she have studied 2 nd PU or 12 th Standard or equivalent on the space provided in the printed form. The same copy should be produced during document verification along with the copy of the Challan (KEA copy). Before entering the application form online, the candidates are advised to download the blank application form and take two or three photocopies of the same and practice on them in the prescribed manner. PLEASE NOTE: The finally submitted application details through online by the candidates will be the candidate's data for all further processing in the KEA computers. Therefore, the candidates are advised not to make any mistakes while making entries in the form and not to upload any documents / papers in support of their claims to the filled application form except Photograph, Signature and Left Hand Thumb Impression. IMPORTANT: 1. IF ANY OF THE INFORMATION FURNISHED IN THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM IS FOUND TO BE FALSE / INCORRECT, THE APPLICATION IS LIABLE TO BE REJECTED AT ANY POINT OF TIME and the seat selected by the candidate, if any, is also liable to be cancelled at any stage and the entire fee amount paid by such candidate shall be forfeited. 11

2. The information furnished in the online application form with regard to Caste / Category and Annual Income remains the same for the purpose of assignment of ranks / selection of a seat and no change will be entertained in future for any reason. The students should produce the Caste / Category and Income Certificate without fail during the verification of original documents at the Helpline Centres. 3. If the photograph uploaded does not match with the actual candidate present during examination, he / she will not be allowed to write the test. 4. Also, if the photograph does not tally with the actual candidate present during verification / obtaining of admission order, he / she will not be permitted for allotment of seat. ASSIGNMENT OF EXAMINATION CENTERS The examination center for writing CET 2015 in respect of all the candidates will be assigned by the KEA Computers on random basis. The candidates who have passed or are appearing for Q. E. within Karnataka should write the CET 2015 in a place within the district in which they have studied 2nd PUC or 12th standard. If the CET 2015 examination centers are located in more than one place in a district, the candidate can choose any one of the places. For example: If the candidates have studied their 2nd PUC / 12th standard in Mysore or any place in the Mysore district, then they have to write CET only in MYSORE. If they have studied in Bellary Dist, then they can write CET either in HOSPET or in BELLARY. The Horanadu & Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates claiming eligibility under clauses c and d of Item 6 of Chapter I respectively, will have to undergo a Kannada language test, which will be held on 01-05-2015 from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm simultaneously for both Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates in Bangalore. Therefore, the Horanadu & Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates will have to appear for the CET 2015 in an examination centre located at BANGALORE only. The minimum passing marks for all Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates shall be 12 out of 50 marks in Kannada Language Examination conducted by KEA in order to be considered for assignment of ranks and to become eligible for allotment of seats in CET- 2015. (The Kannada Language Test paper will be of 4 th Standard level) 6. ELIGIBILITY FOR GOVERNMENT SEATS Candidates who satisfy one of the following clauses / eligibility criteria only are eligible for selection / allotment of government seats in government, aided, private un-aided minority / non-minority institutions through KEA. Each condition is specified as a clause and is individually referred by a code. The documents to be produced during verification of documents in support of the claim for each of the Clauses are also detailed below the respective clauses. The candidates who do not satisfy any of the Clauses / Eligibility Criteria detailed below and the candidates who do not produce the prescribed documents in original will not be eligible for admission to professional courses under Government quota seats. 12

ELIGIBILITY CLAUSES CODES The candidate should have studied and passed in one or more Government or Government recognised educational institutions located in the State of Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN academic years commencing from 1st standard to 2nd PUC / 12th standard as on 1st July of the year in which the Entrance Test is held and must have appeared and passed either SSLC / 10th standard or 2nd PUC / 12th standard examination from Karnataka State. In case of the candidate who had taken more than one year to pass a class or standard, the years of academic study is counted as one year only. Documents to be produced: 1) SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card, 2) 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate, 3) Candidate s Study Certificate; 4) If claiming Rural quota: - Rural Study Certificate from 1 st to 10 th std for Ten Complete Years. 5) If claiming Kannada Medium quota: Kannada Medium Study Certificate from 1 st to 10 th std for Ten Complete Years;. 6) If claiming reservation benefits: Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Concerned Tahsildar- For SC / ST in Form-D, Category-I in form E and 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B in Form F. a The candidate should have studied and passed either 1st and 2nd year Pre-University Examination or 11th and 12th standard examination within the State of Karnataka from an Educational Institution run or recognized by the State Government and that either of the parents should have studied in Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN years. Documents to be produced: 1) SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card, 2) 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate; 3) If claiming reservation benefits:- Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar- For SC / ST in Form-D, Category-I in Form-E and 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B in Form-F., along with 4) (a) a study certificate for either of the parent having studied for at least 7 years in Karnataka from the Head of the educational institution where he / she had studied. (b) the candidate s study certificate for having studied both 1st & 2nd PUC or 11th & 12th standard in Karnataka issued by the head of the educational institution. The candidate and either of the parent s mother tongue should be Kannada, Tulu or Kodava and either of parent was domiciled in the state of Karnataka, such candidate should have passed the qualifying examination from a University or Board or any other Institution located outside Karnataka and should be residing outside the State of Karnataka as on 1st May of 2015. Provided that the candidate shall undergo a Kannada Language test conducted by KEA. Documents to be produced : 1) SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card 2) 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate along with 3) a domicile certificate issued by the concerned Revenue or Municipal Authorities certifying that the candidate and his either of parent have resided outside the state of Karnataka as on 01-05-2015. The place of the Issuing authority should correspond to the place of domicile of the candidate / father / mother. 4) a domicile certificate issued by concerned Revenue Authorities of the state of Karnataka regarding the previous domicile of the father / mother of the candidate as a place in the state of Karnataka. The place of the Issuing authority should correspond to the place of domicile of the father / mother. 5) Candidate s Study certificate, Transfer Certificate. 6) Father / Mother 10th standard marks card / cumulative record in original in support of mother tongue as Kannada / Tulu / Kodava. b c 13

7) A duly sworn declaration regarding mother tongue of the candidates. A candidate whose mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu or Kodava should have resided and studied for a period of SEVEN YEARS between 1st and 12th standards in disputed Kannada speaking area of South Sholapur or Akkalkot or Jath or Gadhinglaj Taluks of Maharashtra State or Kasargod or Hosadurga Taluks of Kerala State. Provided that the candidate shall undergo a Kannada Language test conducted by KEA. Documents to be produced : 1) SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card and 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate along with 2) Residential certificate from the concerned Tahsildar of the respective disputed Taluk. 3) Candidate s study certificate issued by the head of institution, which should be countersigned by Taluk Education Officer. 4) A duly sworn declaration regarding mother tongue of the candidate. NOTE: The candidates claiming eligibility under Clauses c and d above, should invariably speak, read and write Kannada and must secure a minimum of 12 marks in Kannada Language Test to be conducted by KEA on 01-05-2015. Otherwise, they will not be assigned ranks. In the case of a candidate who is son or daughter of defence personnel who has worked continuously in Karnataka for a minimum period of one year in Karnataka during the Two year period of study of candidates in PUC / 11th and 12th Standard course. The candidate should have studied and passed the qualifying examination from any Government or Government recognised educational institution located in the State of Karnataka. Documents to be produced : 1) SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card 2) 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate along with 3) The candidate s study certificate for having studied 2nd PUC or equivalent examination in Karnataka issued by the head of the educational institution. 4) Employment certificate of the parent issued by the Controlling Office where the parent is working indicating the period during which he has worked in the State of Karnataka i.e., from the reporting date to till date. Son or daughter of serving Defence personnel from Karnataka who at the time of joining the Defence service had declared his / her hometown a place in the State of Karnataka. Proof of such domicile should be obtained and produced by obtaining the extract from the AG S branch (Army Hqs) respective branch of integrated HQ of MoD for Officers and respective Record Offices for JCOs / OR. Further, the candidate should have passed the Q. E. from a University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India. Documents to be produced: 1) SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card 2) 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate; 3) If claiming reservation benefits:- Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Concerned Tahsildar as per the prescribed format given in the brochure along with 4) Parent s home town declaration certificate while joining the service issued by respective branch of integrated HQ of MoD for Officers and respective Record Offices for JCOs / OR. In the case of a candidate who is a son or daughter of a defence personnel who had served in Karnataka for at least one year and is posted on duty in Field / Active Service and whose family is permitted by Defence Authorities to continue to stay in Karnataka. Such candidate should have studied and passed the qualifying examination from any Government or Government recognised educational institution located in Karnataka. 2) 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate along with 3) The candidate s study certificate for having studied 2nd PUC or equivalent examination in Karnataka issued by the head of the educational institution. 4) Service certificate of the parent issued by the Controlling Office indicating the period during which the parent has worked in Karnataka and a certificate showing the present place of posting, indicating that his family is permitted to stay in Karnataka. The present working place of the parent should be indicated in NAME and not by CODE NUMBERS. Son or daughter of an ex-servicemen who at the time of joining the defence service had declared a place in Karnataka as his home town, proof of such domicile should be obtained and produced from the Deputy Director, Department of Sainik Welfare and Resettlement of that District and the same should countersigned by the Director Department of Sainik Welfare and Resettlement. Further, the candidate should have passed the Q. E. from a University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India. Documents to be produced : 1) SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card 2) 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate; 3) If claiming reservation benefits :- Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Concerned Tahsildar- For SC / ST in Form-D, Category-I in Form-E and 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B in Form-F 4) Parent s home town declaration certificate while joining the service issued by the Joint Director / Deputy Director of the concerned district and countersigned by the Director, Department of Sainik Welfare and Resettlement, Bangalore. In the case of a candidate being a son or daughter of an employee of the Union Government or an employee of the Union or Karnataka State Government Undertaking or Joint Sector Undertaking, who is liable to be transferred anywhere in India as per the terms and conditions of his employment and has worked in Karnataka for a minimum period of one year in Karnataka during the Two year period of study of candidates in PUC / 11th and 12th Standard course. and such candidate has studied and passed the qualifying examination from any Government or Government recognised educational institution located in the State of Karnataka Documents to be produced : 1) SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card 2) 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate along with 3) The candidate s study certificate for having studied 2nd PUC or equivalent examination in Karnataka issued by the head of the educational institution. 4) A certificate from the employer indicating the parent s period of employment in the State of Karnataka and also showing that he is transferable anywhere in India. 5) A certificate from employer indicating parent as an employee of Union Government or an employee of the Union or Karnataka State Government Undertaking or Joint Sector Undertaking. Son or daughter of a working or retired employee of the Union Government or employee of Union or Karnataka State Government undertaking or Joint Sector undertaking where such employee; (a) had declared to the employer at the time of joining service any place in Karnataka to be his home town; and (b) had studied in any Government or Government recognised educational institution or institutions located in Karnataka for a minimum period of seven years; and was or is liable to be transferred anywhere in India as per the terms and conditions of his employment. Further, the candidate should have passed the Q. E. from a University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India. (2) home town declaration certificate of the parent employee while joining the service and showing that he is transferable anywhere in India issued by the employer. Son or daughter of Members of Parliament elected from Karnataka. Further, the candidate should have passed the Q. E. from a University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India. Documents to be produced: 1) SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card 2) 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate; 3) If claiming reservation benefits :- Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Concerned Tahsildar- For SC / ST in Form-D, Category-I in form-e and 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B in Form-F. 4) Certificate showing that the parent is / was a Member of Parliament elected from Karnataka issued by the Parliament Secretariat. Son or daughter of serving or retired employee:(a) belonging to All India Service of Karnataka cadre; and (b) of the Karnataka State Government, who has served or is serving outside the State of Karnataka during the period corresponding to Candidate s study outside the State from 1st standard to 2nd PUC or 12th standard examination can be added to make up the seven years study within Karnataka as required under clause (a) above. Documents to be produced : 1) SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card 2) 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate ; 3) If claiming reservation benefits :- Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Concerned Tahsildar- For SC / ST in Form-D, Category-I in Form-E and 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B in Form-F, along with 4) Certificate from the Principal Secretary / Deputy Secretary / Under Secretary, DPAR, Government of Karnataka, Bangalore where the parent belongs to All India Service of Karnataka cadre stating that the parent is a member of such All India Cadre. The certificate should also indicate the period during which he has served or is serving outside the state of Karnataka and if the parent is a State Government Employee, a certificate from the concerned Head of the Department or the Head of the Office where such parent is employed should be produced in this regard. Son or daughter of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants, proof of such migration (IDENTITY CARD) should be obtained and produced from the jurisdictional District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of any state in India. Documents to be produced : 1) SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card 2) 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate along with 3) A original certificate (IDENTITY CARD) issued by the Jurisdictional District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of any state in India, as the proof of migration. The candidates who are claiming eligibility under clause m are eligible only for the seats earmarked by the Government. The candidates who have studied TEN full academic years in Kannada Medium from 1st standard to 10th standard in places outside the state of Karnataka. Such candidates need not appear for Kannada Language Test conducted by KEA. 1) SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card 2) 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate along with 3) A domicile certificate issued by the concerned Revenue or Municipal Authorities certifying that the candidate and his father / mother have resided outside the state of Karnataka as on 01-05-2015. The place of the Issuing authority should correspond to the place of domicile of the candidate / father / mother. 4) Candidate s Study certificate, for having studied in Kannada Medium from 1st standard to 10th standard issued by the head of the institution. Son / Daughter of working or Retired employee in Central Armed Police Force service, who at the time of joining the CAPF service (Central Armed Police Force) had declared the hometown as a place in the State of Karnataka, proof of such domicile having been produced by obtaining the extract from the Record Office of the CAPF Unit where the Parent s service record are maintained. Further, the candidate should have passed the Q. E. from a University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India. Documents to be produced: 1) SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card 2) 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate; 3) If claiming reservation benefits:- Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Concerned Tahsildar as per the prescribed format given in the brochure; along with 4) Parent s home town declaration certificate while joining the service issued by Record Office of the CAPF unit, where the parents service records are maintained. o NOTE: In case, if any of the documents produced in respect of the Clause claimed by the candidate is found to be false / incorrect, the seat allotted to the candidate will be cancelled at any stage and the entire fee amount paid by such candidate will be forfeited. 17

7. HOW TO FILL ONLINE APPLICATION FORM: Log on to KEA Website http://kea.kar.nic.in On the KEA Website Homepage, select / click on the link CET-2015 UG Online Application, the following screen will be opened. The candidates are advised to take the Sample Application form printout and familiarize themselves by filling the same in the offline mode before starting the filling up of online application. Select the item New Use, Click Here to Register as shown in the screen. The candidate / user will be directed to Candidate Registration Page. The candidates have to enter their name, Date of Birth, Father s Name, Mother s Name as it is in the SSLC / 10 th Standard Marks cards as these items will be carried for further processing. 18

Create your own user Id (minimum of 6 and maximum of 16 characters). Create your own password (minimum of 8 and maximum of 20 characters) with at least 1 alphabet, 1 number and 1 special character (like:!, @, #, $, %, ^, &, *) in it. Select a secret question and answer the same and remember the answer entered. This will be helpful in case if the candidate forgets the password. USER ID and Password: Create your own User ID and Password and submit. (Please make a note of User ID and the Password created by you for future logins.) Name of the Candidate: Enter your name as it is in the SSLC or 10th Standard Marks Card. There should be no variation in the form or spelling. Name of the Father: Enter your Father s name as it is in SSLC or 10th Standard Marks Card. There should be no variation in the form or spelling. Name of the Mother: Write your Mother s name it is in SSLC or 10th Standard Marks Card. There should be no variation in the form or spelling. Gender: Select Male; or Female. Date of Birth: Enter your Date of birth as it is in the SSLC /10th standard marks card. Contact Mobile Number: Enter your correct mobile number. The candidate / user will receive an SMS to the mobile number entered by them stating the application number. 19
