The vendor will replace that switch with the 5412zl listed above and copy the configuration from the 5406zl to the 5412zl and reconnect all devices and patch cables. This will be done before ANY work is done at the high school. Minimum network down time required. Install ProCurve 765wl Mobility Controller. Install and configure 6 to 8 MSM410s (WAPs). Owner is responsible for Cat 5e cable to the Access Points. Configure Premium Edge License (PEL) to support multicast routing only. Scope of Work- High School The high school MDF will receive the 5406zl (previously at the BOE) with zl-4port x2 transceiver added. It will then be cleared and programmed to act as a core in the MDF at the high school. Currently an Enterasys N5 is acting as the core. It will be the vendor s responsibility to make any changes necessary in the MDF at the high school to integrate the 5406zl into the network scheme. The server farm is on 10.120.100.0/22 network in the MDF and the clients connect to the 10.120.104.0/22 network in the MDF. A one (1) GB copper WAN connection to the BOE is currently in the MDF on the Enterasys Core. Three (3) IDFs (one existing, two new IDFs in wings under construction) will connect to the Core 5406zl) switch in the MDF. All new switches will have appropriate static IP addresses assigned. Configure PEL for multicast routing only. 2
The existing IDF-Hub is subnetted (10.120.108.0/22). The ProCurve 3500yl-48G switch w/ yl-4 port module will connect IDF-Hub to MDF at 10Gbps. Additional ProCurve 2610-48 switches (4) will be uplinked to the 3500yl and all existing Enterasys equipment (10-48 port switches) will be individually uplinked to the 3500yl at 1Gbps using copper. There are currently 4 individual Enterasys switches and 2 units of 3-Stacked Enterasys switches. Both stacks will be broken and the individual switches will be uplinked to the 3500yl over 1Gb copper. One 4000M will be removed completely and its connections moved to the 2610s. All switches will have appropriate static IP addresses assigned. Network outages should be held to the bare minimum during the school day. Prolonged outages (breaking the stacks) should be done after 3:30 pm in this IDF. Discuss IP scheme with owner prior to beginning work. The new IDFs (IDF-CHAPS and IDF-A&M) will each have a 3500yl-24 switch. These 2 IDFs are not actually ready to go due to construction. The vendor will configure and label all switches and BOE staff will connect them into the network at a later time. All configuration MUST be complete on the equipment so it is just a plug and play installation. The IDF-CHAPS will have a new subnet 10.120.116.0/22. IDF-CHAPS will have a 3500yl-24 switch w/ yl-4 port 10GBE module w/10gbe-lrm transceiver. Seven (7) 2610-48 switches and one (1) 2610-24 switch will be uplinked individually to the 3500yl switch using 1Gb copper. All switches will have appropriate static IP addresses assigned. The 3500yl will be assigned IP 10.120.116.1, the other switches will continue.2,.3, IDF-A&M will have a new subnet 10.120.120.0/22. IDF-A&M will have a 3500yl-24 switch linked with a 2GB trunk (2x1GB fiber) to the 5406zl in the MDF. Three (3) 2610-48 switches and one (1) 2610-24 switch will be uplinked individually to the 3500yl with 1Gb copper. All switches will have appropriate static IP addresses assigned. The 3500yl will have address 10.120.120.1, the other switches will continue.2,.3,.4 : The ProCurve Manager Plus will be installed by the vendor on a computer at the BOE with 100 new licenses and an upgrade to an existing 100 user license (ProCurve Manager Plus 2.0.1 with S/N SG608VR067) giving us the ability to manage 200 devices systemwide. All licenses must be up to date with the latest version. It is the vendor s responsibility to determine is there is a cost associate with the upgrade of the existing license. Premium Edge License will be installed on the 5406yl at the high school and the 5412yl at the BOE and configured for multicast routing. A minimum of 4 hours training on using ProCurve Plus should be included in your professional service quote for the high school and BOE. All work is considered to be turn-key. Vendor should state number of days anticipated to complete the BOE and High School Scope of Work and the number of men that will be assigned to the task. A day shall consist of no less than 7 hours on site per man. Professional services are the essence of this RFP as anyone can sell us the equipment. The high school is generally open Monday thru Friday from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm. Sometimes the school closes early on Friday, but not before 4:00pm. ANY REMOVED EQUIPMENT WILL RETURNED TO MIKE PORTER AT 1301 BAILEY STREET-BOE OFFICE. 3
