The Evergreen, a four bedroom, four bath, 3,075 Square Foot home was built for his family by Rob Smith of E2 Homes, inc. The Evergreen focuses on green design and construction, a passion of Rob and his wife Denise. This LEED Gold certified home has a compact, yet open floor plan focusing on quality construction and numerous green building features. The home touts low energy and water consumption through the use of smart conservation. Some of the numerous green building features include the following: use of recycled materials, solar water heater, rainwater collection, roof top garden, green roof, low flow water fixtures, energy star appliances, Low E windows and doors, low formaldehyde plywood, low VOC paints and carpets, among others.
The home also takes advantage of seamless transitions from the interior to the exterior spaces. Denise, a Landscape Architect, worked with Rob to design a smooth transition from the hardspaces into the softer green space of the yard.
