10 H Hubbell Residence CSE Solar Homes Tour Home San Diego The Center for Sustainable Energy and US Green Building Council are co-hosting this home, also on the CSE 2015 San Diego Solar Homes Tour This home offers homeowners the opportunity to talk with solar experts about the innovative solutions they are employing to: Reduce utility bills, Fuel electric vehicles, Recoup tax dollars via available tax credits, Improve property values, Create green Jobs, Gain energy independence Energy (photos courtesy of Drew Hubbell) Wall and attic insulation provided during restoration Radiant blanket incorporated in attic addition kw Solar PV System Water Conservation/Sustainable Sites: Low water plants, fruit trees & compost bins Materials: Reclaimed bamboo fencing
11 I Jackdaw Street Edible and eco-friendly landscape San Diego (Outdoor tour only) Water Conservation: Native plants used throughout the property which require little water. Non-native drought tolerants are also included as accent plantings. Organic mulch is used throughout the property to reduce erosion and naturally increase fertility. The entire project is irrigated using a drip system. The maintenance program is 100% organic as well.
