Logistics analysts generally work with planning and or statistical software or create quantitative models to simulate real-life problems, such as inventory levels, budget constraints and transportation schedules An Analyst uses analytical methods and a variety of tools to understand, predict, improve and/or control Logistics operations and processes and are responsible for data management, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations that support Logistics management. Solves problems by considering courses of action within the framework of management s goals and standards. Operates with minimal supervision and once given general assignments, prioritizes and executes tasks. Provides and communicates recommendations to upper management. 1

DESIRED QUALIFICATION: Post Graduate Degree in Operations Research, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent degree MINIMUM QUALIFICATION : Bachelor s Degree in Operations Research, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent degree RELATED EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3 years in Management Information Systems environment Extensive experience in Business Data Analytics Experience in Qlikview an advantage Strong MS Excel skills Strong knowledge of statistical methods generally, and particularly in the areas of modeling and business analytics 3
