Everything from bridal showers and rehearsal dinners, to wedding ceremonies and receptions, we have the expertise to turn your dreams into reality. Our Catering Team is here to assist you in creating an elegant and unique experience that you and your guests will never forget. Your planning process begins with a guided tour of our venue to select the perfect space for your perfect day. It will continue with the preparations to ensure that everything is in place for your big day. Our creative and imaginative award winning Executive Chef, Michael Nowik, would be honored to assist in designing a special menu for you and your guests. Rental rates, minimum revenues and prices are NOT guaranteed until the time of booking.

Ceremonies The Deerfoot Inn would be honored to host your ceremony. Ceremony rental includes: Theatre Style Set-Up (with centre aisle) White Skirted Signing Table and Chair *Microphone, staging or additional audio visual requirements are at an additional cost. Ceremonies must include a reception afterwards. A reset fee may apply to change the room from ceremony to reception. A minimum of three hours is required to ensure the room is perfect for your reception. Note: Ceremony Only rental fees apply for all weddings that do not meet our minimum food & beverage requirement. They are booked up to 3 months in advance at the discretion of the hotel. All menus are subject to change without notice and will be confirmed no more than 90 days prior to your wedding. Food and Beverage prices are subject to a 17% food and beverage gratuity and 5% GST tax. The hours of alcoholic beverage service are 10:00AM to 1:00AM in Alberta. Menu Tastings Menu tastings are available for confirmed wedding bookings. A minimum of ten (10) days notice is required for any menu tasting request and is arranged through your Catering Manager. Menu tastings are complimentary for 2 guests once we have received a signed contract. Menu tastings are not available for buffet menus, only plated menu options. Food & Beverage The Deerfoot Inn and Casino is the sole supplier of all food and beverage for any hotel functions, with the exception of the wedding cake. Menus and wine selections must be confirmed 30 days prior to the event date. Once your final menu and beverage requirements have been confirmed, your Catering Sales Manager will prepare a cost estimate. Pre-payment will be based on this estimate. Final guaranteed numbers of guests are required 5 business days prior to your event. Please let us know of any allergies and/or dietary concerns that you may have so we can accommodate you in the best way possible. Wedding Cakes & Cake Cutting Fees Wedding cakes are just as an important detail as the wedding day itself. To celebrate your day, you are welcome to bring in your wedding cake from an outside supplier. There are many wonderful pastry chefs in Calgary. Please ask a member of our catering team for recommendations. A $3.50 per person cake cutting fee applies. Your wedding cake will be cut by one of our Chef s. We offer this service as a chef attended station.

Wedding Receptions With approximately 20,000 sq feet of event space with 14 versatile conference rooms, you have the option of choosing your perfect location for your perfect day. Our Sundance Ballroom has over 6800 sq feet of space which can accommodate up to 400 people for dinner. With high ceilings and adjustable lighting, this room is perfect for any ceremony, dinner or reception. Music Included in your reception rental: Gift Table, Guest Book Table and Cake Table Option of Raised Head Table (Sundance Ballroom Only) Tables, Chairs, Choice of White or Black Linen and Napkins. Cutlery, White China and Glassware Option of Two Votive Candle Holders per Table with Mirror Special Wedding Rates for your Guests Access to our Wedding Suppliers Deposit & Payment For any events taking place on the property that has an entertainment component, we are obligated to charge a SOCAN fee. SOCAN (The Society of Composers, Authors & Music Publishers of Canada) collects this fee as a copyright licensing fee on behalf of the original artists. The fee is determined based on venue capacity and is not revenue for the hotel. This fee will be applied to your banquet event order. A deposit is required at the time of contract signing and full payment is required 15 business days prior to the event (based on the banquet event order estimate). A credit card is also required to be on file for any additional charges not included in the estimate that are incurred on the day of the wedding. Upon completion of the event, our accounting department will forward a detailed copy of your final invoice. Thank You Gifts Looking for the perfect thank you gift for your wedding party? Gift cards are available at the front desk and can be used towards a night stay or used in our food and beverage outlets. Gift cards can be programmed in various amounts.

Stunning Accommodations Traditional King Rooms Feature one king size bed and a pullout queen size sofa bed. Traditional Double Rooms Feature two large queen size beds. Family Suites Feature two queen size beds with a dining table and chairs. For your convenience, these spacious suites feature a built-in mini kitchen complete with mini fridge, microwave, dishware, and wet bar. With our 188 luxuriously appointed guest rooms, which include 28 spacious suites with breathtaking mountain or city views, your guest will find comfort and elegance for the night after celebrating your day with you. We are pleased to offer a special wedding rate for your guests. Our guestroom rates are subject to applicable taxes (4% Alberta Tourism Levy, 5% GST) and a destination marketing fee (3% DMF). Frequently Asked Questions How much does a Wedding at The Deerfoot Inn cost? This is a difficult question to answer because the total cost of your wedding will depend on what costs you are paying for. Your budget needs to take into consideration what items you intend to pay for. For example, are you planning any other events such as a Rehearsal Dinner? What is your budget for floral and entertainment? Are you doing a cash or host bar? Are you offering host dinner wines? Are you planning a late night snack?. For Food and Beverage budgeting for the Wedding dinner itself, we recommend that you budget a minimum of $70 per person. This amount will vary based on the extent of your plans and a more accurate estimation can be calculated once your plans are confirmed. We ve decided to have our Wedding at The Deerfoot Inn. What information does the hotel require from me to create a wedding contract? Once you have decided to host your Wedding at The Deerfoot Inn, we do require the following information in order to send you a wedding contract for your review and approval: 1. Complete contact information for both the Bride and Groom (phone, fax, email, etc.) 2. Guest room block the number of rooms to be blocked off for each night, the specific room categories required 3. Reservation Method will your guests be calling the hotel directly to book their rooms or will you be providing the hotel with a rooming list? 4. Ceremony confirm the location, date, time and number of guests 5. Reception/Dinner confirm the location, date, time and number of guests 6. Billing Information will guests be responsible for their own charges or is the Master Account paying for guest rooms? Once I ve received the Wedding contract, what do I need to do to confirm my Wedding? In order to confirm your wedding on a definite basis, a signed contract is required as well as the nonrefundable deposit of $2500 and credit card number for processing the final payment.

Catering Terms & Conditions Menu prices will be confirmed (3) months prior to the event. Menus are subject to change. Cancellation charges will be applied to all functions once the contract has been signed. All cancellations must be in writing. Deerfoot Inn & Casino is the sole supplier of all food items in the hotel with the exception of wedding and special occasion cakes. Cake cutting and plating charges will apply. Full service audio visual is available. Details can be arranged through your Catering Sales Manager. Should you choose an alternate audio visual supplier, additional charges will apply. The Deerfoot Inn & Casino reserves the right to re-assign space as required to best suit the group size, needs and/or for safety reasons. Space is reserved only for the times listed on the contract. Any additional set up or tear down times must be communicated to your Catering Sales Manager at the time of booking. Thumbtacks, nails, staples, or scotch tape are not to be used in any banquet or public spaces. Charges will applied for the removal and restoration from damage resulting from these actions. Always ask for assistance when hanging banners or other material. Food served in the hotel will not be allowed to leave the premises, unless purchased as take out. Confetti or confetti like substances are not allowed in any banquet or public space in the hotel. Should they be used, cleaning charges will apply. A 17% gratuity and 5% GST is applicable to all Food, Beverage, Room Rental and AV charges.
