MUSIC AND SOUND PRODUCTION DED RABBIT // PAST HND POPULAR MUSIC STUDENTS When you walk into the studio in the Music Box it s easy to forget where you are. The facilities, the equipment and wealth of knowledge the staff have would be at home in any high end studio in the world. DED RABBIT When I first started at Edinburgh College I had only a vague idea of what I wanted to achieve as a musician. Through fantastic tuition I was able to develop my musicality in both composition and performance. This was influential in the development of Ded Rabbit and inspired us to start touring the UK and promoting ourselves. One of the great things about the course was the close relationship I had with the tutors and of course the great facilities and access to the recording studio. FERGUS GAINE, DONAL GAINE AND EUGENE GAINE 07 Music & Sound I studied the HNC music course after leaving school and met some of the nicest and most talented people I know today, students and lecturers included. After completing the HNC, I studied Music Technology at The University of Edinburgh and now own a recording studio called The Sound Station where I work as a producer and run various music courses for young people. If you re interested in a career in music there really isn t a better place to take that first step. Whether you want to be in a band, write and perform your own music, become a successful producer or even just get an idea of how many different jobs there are in the music industry, Edinburgh College has the people, the facilities and the know how to get you there.
