The colleges are operated in partnership with UK universities, located on or close to the campus of the partner university and offer programmes designed to prepare international students for entry to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by the partner university. Page 2 of 7 The Marketing Manager, Hong Kong & Macau has responsibility for meeting challenging recruitment targets to the UK Pathway Programmes in the region of Hong Kong and Macau primarily through supporting the regional manager in efforts to manage the agent network, close liaison with partner universities and first class customer service. We are seeking an ambitious and talented professional to successfully promote our portfolio of programmes and grow our market share in the region. Responsibilities include: Take part in exhibitions and events; and organise supporting collateral development assessing events for ROI Manage agent relationships, with an emphasis on training and support to ensure high loyally and performance Gaining competitive advantage through service and support to agents Being the main point of contact for agents and responding to their enquiries in an efficient and effective manner always within 24 hours Counselling students Identify opportunities and to deliver effective marketing solutions. Maintain excellent relations with both internal and external stakeholders Monitoring competitor developments and market trends Provide promotional and logistical support to Kaplan International College s staff and university partners as required for incoming visits Ensuring Tier 4 compliance in recruitment in the market Any other duties as required from time to time by the Regional Manager Line management responsibilities Responsible for managing workloads of temporary staff and student ambassadors during the peak seasons. Reporting responsibilities The Marketing Manager for Hong Kong & Macau - reports to the Regional Manager East Asia for Kaplan International Colleges in Hong Kong and also works closely with the Regional Manager South East Asia.
Page 3 of 7 Candidate profile The successful candidate will be results orientated with the capacity to build strong relations with both internal and external stakeholders. He/she will have a customer facing approach with extensive experience gained, preferably, in the education or international student sector and be happy to work weekends and evenings when required. Essential Criteria An undergraduate degree (UK preferred) or equivalent or substantial professional experience gained through 1-3 years working in a responsible customer facing role; Fluent Spoken and Written Cantonese A proven track record of working to targets Customer focus Self motivation, ability to prioritise effectively, be flexible and manage your time under pressure A sound understanding of UK further and higher education and or experience of international students studying in the UK is essential including a good understanding of Tier 4 compliance A thorough knowledge of the major issues in international higher education, significant knowledge of market trends A proven track record of delivering successful international student recruitment campaigns. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate issues to a wide audience are essential; Excellent interpersonal skills with the capability and confidence to lead, motivate, facilitate and negotiate High level of enthusiasm, motivation, personal commitment and independence to undertake periods of work without supervision Problem solving and organisational skills to deal with complex and difficult situations as they arise The ability to demonstrate you respond positively to change and to be effective in changing; High level of literacy and attention to detail to produce clear concise reports, Desirable Knowledge of the education systems in East Asia and current developments Mandarin
