SuccessFactors Foundation Technical and Functional Specifications This specifications document describes key features and functionalities of SuccessFactors Foundation. and Functionalities: Employee Profile Job Profile Builder Presentations Reporting and Talent Insight, which includes: Ad Hoc Reporting Online Report Designer Dashboards Talent Insight Social Collaboration with SAP Jam Administrator Training Employee Profile Table 1: Employee Profile and s Public Profile Custom Profile Views Profile Data Import/Export Employee Profile Reporting A snapshot view of a user, displaying basic details like profile photo, contact information, local time, position, and other public information about the user. Create different custom views for use in different business processes. Configure what information is displayed in each view and control who has permission to see it. For example, a talent profile might show the employee's past work experience, skills and competencies, or education. A talent scorecard could display past performance ratings or development goals. Profile data can be imported and exported to and from the system in CSV format, allowing you to synchronize Employee Profile with your HRIS or other external system, or employ user data for other offline purposes. In addition to the CSV export described above, generate improvised reports on Employee Profile data using SAP's reporting tools.
Organization Chart Badges Tags Directory Talent Search The interactive organization chart is an easy way for anyone to explore their organization, understand reporting relationships, and initiate various transactions. Badges are used for employee recognition. Employees can give out badges that appear in their colleagues' profiles. Tags provide a way for employees to make themselves more discoverable in the organization. They can add tags to their profile, such as expertise, responsibilities, interests and hobbies that other employees will be able to search and find in the company directory. Employees can search for and discover others in the system using the Company Directory Search, which utilizes different search tools to filter the results. Employees can search based on advanced criteria such as education or work history, performance and competency ratings, to identify users with those criteria. Job Profile Builder Table 2: Job Profile Builder and s Job Profile Content Management Job Profile Template Management Workflow Skill Profile Portlet Find, add and edit the content used to populate Job Profiles. Additionally, the Competency library and Skills library add-ons provide out-of-the-box, industry-verified content. Create job profile templates with easy-to-use rich text editing (RTE) capabilities to create a consistent look-and-feel for job profiles across job families. Helps assure administrators and management that job profiles have been thoroughly reviewed before publishing Provides employees visibility into the expected skill proficiency levels required for success in their job. Employee Acknowledgment To help meet compliance needs, this feature enables administrators to automatically notify employees of changes to their job profile and gives employees the ability to easily view and acknowledge changes. Additionally, administrators can report on the status of these acknowledgment requests, by user. Add virtual slides that display content within the presentations, such as organizational charts, succession plans and compensation details. Some live slides will require additional subscriptions to SAP SuccessFactors HCM solutions. Enables users to go to a clickable area within an uploaded (static) slide, which opens a hyperlink or a talent card that will display information about an employee. Ability to change the order of static and live slides. Combine slides from multiple presentations into one, delete slides, and replace selected slides with slides from another presentation. Design Talent Cards that display detailed information about individuals in the presentations. Display presentations in full-screen mode that blend static and live content. Online Report Designer Table 5: Online Report Designer and s Online Report Designer Output Formats Scheduling and Delivery Security Standard Report Templates The Online Report Designer is a drag-and-drop reporting tool that allows end users to design formatted, multi-page presentation-ready reports on their live data. Data can be displayed as transactional lists or pivot tables and charts. End users can also create custom calculated columns to concatenate fields, mathematical expressions, if/then/else statements and substrings. PDF, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV and Word. Reports can be scheduled using the report distributor to be run offline, sent to email or to an FTP server. Role-based security and permissions let you share important information securely across your organization. Available via the customer community. Standard Tiles Drill to Details Tile Builder Filters Available for download from the SuccessStore. Where appropriate, drill down to the employee level to review the transactional details, view quick card details about the employee in a popup, and initiate actions from the same place. Administrators can create their own tiles by using a wizard and can also permission these tiles to users. Data for tiles can be filtered so the same tile works for multiple roles for example, a manager team view or an HR view. Administrator Training SuccessFactors Foundation includes a ticket to the Administrator training series. This includes asynchronous digital training content designed to train administrators on how to use the SAP SuccessFactors administration tools.
