Wildcat Web Student Guide Section I: Access and login to Wildcat Web Account Following are the steps to log in to your Wildcat Web account. View your class schedule, set up meetings with your advisor, add or drop classes, pay your account online, develop your major completion projection, and print your transcripts before or upon your graduation. 1. Access Wildcat Web from http://wildcat.cookman.edu http://www.cookman.edu 2. Login to Wildcat Web User ID: less or equal 6 digits (e.g., 1949 or 415426) Password: your PIN (personal information number) If you re a prospective undergraduate or graduate student, browse the Admissions or Grad and Prof Studies Admission tab for information about B-CU University. The B-CU University website is also a valuable resource. If you re a current student but do not know or forget your User ID and/or PIN, you can reset your password yourself by clicking I forgot my password. You can also contact the CIT helpdesk at 386-481-2070 or email The Office of Administrative Computing by clicking on System Administrator link if you need help with Wildcat Web access. 3. View and Edit Personal Information Once successfully logged-on, you can click the Personal Information link to edit Password, Account Info, Photo, Biographical Info, Academic Info and etc. Bethune-Cookman University Office of Academic Computing 1
Section II: Navigate Your Wildcat Web via the Tabs The navigation starts from the Home tab by default. You ll see portlets/links on your left incl. welcome, announcements, campus resources, course offerings, quick links, and etc. Just click the Course Offerings link, and you ll see that you can Add/Drop course right there. Please note that the bread crumb trail shows your navigation path with You are here marked. 1. Click the tab Current Students next to Home and you ll be at Student Home. 2. Click the Advising and Registration link. You ll see a list of supporting links, such as Advisor Meeting, How to Register Online, Online Registration, Course Needs, Major Exploration and What If Scenario. 3. If you need to Add/Drop Courses here, just click the link and follow the on-screen instructions to get it done. Two more tabs, Registrar and My Pages, are right next to the tab of Current Students. The Registrar tab provides detailed info about registration, incl. a glossary of registration terms, frequently asked questions about graduation, registration questions from new students, and the contact info of the Registrar. The My Pages tab gives you a web space to store and edit your messages, bookmarks, calendar, groups, and etc. Follow the wizard, and click the Edit icon to add, open, and set up your preference. Section III: Explore Portlets, Links, & Functions Advisor Meetings Search for and view scheduled meetings with your advisors. Enter the start date and end date into the fields provided or click the calendar icon to select a start and end date. If no start or end date is provided, the portlet will show all scheduled advisor meetings for the user. Bethune-Cookman University Office of Academic Computing 3
How to Register Online Meet with your Academic Advisor for Registration Clearance. You will not be able to register without registration clearance from your advisor. Before you can register for classes, add or drop classes, you must accept the terms of registration. Read the terms carefully and then select the "YES" radio button and click "SUBMIT" to proceed with registration. Once you select "YES" and register for classes, charges for tuition and fees will be placed on your account. The Office of Student Accounts will send out billing notices to students. If you are not financially cleared by the Office of Student Accounts by the deadline date on your billing notice your class schedule WILL BE DELETED and you will not be permitted to attend classes. Online Registration You will no longer be required to place GE 001A on your schedule to accept your schedule. Please carefully read the REGISTRATION AGREEMENT to understand the new procedures for registration. Course Needs View the courses you will need to take to complete your selected program. This portlet is used by the Major Exploration and What If Scenarios portlet to provide you and advisors with information on what would be needed to complete a major, minor or other program should you change your course of study. Major Exploration and What If Scenarios Select a program from the Major/Minor drop-down menu for which to view the requirements. If you wish to apply your courses to the program, ensure the 'Apply My Courses' checkbox is checked. Press the 'View' button. You ll see the requirements for your Major/Minor and whether your Major/Minor requirements are met when you apply your courses. Bethune-Cookman University Office of Academic Computing 6
Course History View the courses you have taken at BCU. The courses are organized by Term and Course Code. Title, Division, Credits, Grade Type, Grade and Requirements are all shown in the Course History table. Financial Aid and Account Information View financial aid awards, missing/received documents, account balance, course and fee statement, and Form 1098-T info for claiming tuition paid as a tax deduction. Just click the My Account Balances link to view the current amount due, make a payment, and see the Course and Fee Statement in PDF format. Unofficial Transcript and Grade Reports View and print your unofficial transcript, midterm or final grades. The GPA Projection link allows you to enter possible grades for your current classes and predict your term GPA and overall GPA. Bethune-Cookman University Office of Academic Computing 7
Residence Info View your room assignment, room type, mailing address, assigned telephone number and roommate(s) by session. The Room and Roommate Preferences link allows you to indicate your preference to have another student as a roommate, see another student's request for them as a preferred roommate and accept or deny that request. The Vehicle Information link displays information on your vehicle description, assigned parking location, type of permit, permit number, permit expiration date, license plate and notes any parking violations. Student Home View Registration Information, Academic Information, Announcements, Calendar, and Student Schedule related to your account. Click the Student Schedule link, and you ll see a list of classes you re registered for a selected Year and Term (a single Session). Student Forms Download student forms (.PDF) when needed. These forms include Transcript Request Form, Grade Forgiveness Form, Application for Independent Study, Change of Information Request, Re-Admissions Application, Degree Application, Degree Request Policy, and Duplicate Degree Form.
