101/22 Rd Thank you for using Synapse Hosted Exchange service. Please find the instructions for setting up your email clients are below: 1. Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2010 for Windows 2. Outlook 2011 for Mac OSX 3. iphone, ipad 4. Android phones and tablets 1. Outlook 2010 or Outlook 2013 for Windows a) Open Outlook 2010 or Outlook 2013. If the Microsoft Outlook Startup wizard appears, on the first page of the wizard, click Next. Then, on the E-mail Accounts page, click Next to set up an email account. If the Microsoft Outlook Startup wizard doesn't appear, on the Outlook toolbar, click the File tab. Then, just above the Account Settings button, click Add Account. b) Enter your name, email address and your password. This will be provided to you once you are subscribed to our service. c) After you click Next on the Auto Account Setup page, Outlook will search online to find your email server settings. You'll be prompted to enter your user name and password during this search. Make sure that you enter your full email address as your user name. d) You should see the following text: Congratulations! Your email account is successfully configured and ready to use. Click Finish.
101/22 Rd e) A Windows security dialog box may pop up asking for account details. Enter your email address and password, this will allow for the initial setup of your mailbox on your computer when first connected. 2. Outlook 2011 for Mac OSX a) Open Outlook for Mac 2011. On the Tools menu, click Accounts. If this is the first account you're creating in Outlook 2011, under Add an Account, click Exchange Account. If you've previously created an e-mail account for a different e-mail address, in the lower-left corner of the Accounts dialog box, click +, and then click Exchange. b) On the Enter your Exchange account information page, type your e-mail address. c) Under Authentication, make sure User Name and Password is selected. d) In User name, type your complete e-mail address and enter your password e) Make sure Configure automatically is selected, and then click Add Account. f) After you click Add Account, Outlook will perform an online search to find your e-mail server settings. In the dialog box that asks you if you want to allow the server to configure your settings, select the Always use my response for this server check box, and then click Allow. If Outlook is able to set up your account, you'll see the account you set up in the left pane of the Accounts dialog box. Close the Accounts dialog box. If Outlook isn't able to set up your account, give us a call. 3. iphone, ipad Follow these steps to setup your Exchange ActiveSync account your ios device: a) Tap Settings
b) Next, tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars. 101/22 Rd c) Tap Add Account then Microsoft Exchange. d) The Exchange setup screen will open; you'll then enter the following information: Enter your email address. Enter your password. This will be given to you when you subscribe to our service. You may choose to enter a Description such as My Work Account but this is optional
101/22 Rd e) The system will now Verify the account and you may receive this message. Accept by tap Continue f) Enter server details which is mx1.mybusinesscloud.net.au. Ensure that your email address is entered in Username field. Then tap Next
101/22 Rd g) The device will then try to create a secure (SSL) connection to your Exchange server. When connected, you'll see check marks along your settings to confirm that your account has been verified. The screen will then move to sync options We recommend sync of all features. If this screen comes up What would you like to do with existing local contacts on your iphone?. We recommend you tap Keep on My iphone so that existing data won t be deleted.
