Release Notes Drive Software Wizards Version 3.4 This release notes describes major version 3, minor version 4 of drive software wizards for DriveExplorer (version 5.02 and higher), DriveTools SP (version 4.01 and higher) and RSLogix 5000 Drive Add-On Profiles (version 1.00 and higher). Determining the Wizard Version Level This section describes the procedures to determine the version of your drive software wizards. Run DriveExplorer, DriveExecutive or RSLogix 5000 Drive Add-On Profiles and connect to a drive online, or run DriveExecutive or RSLogix 5000 Drive Add-On Profiles and open a saved drive configuration offline. Launch any available wizard and view the version on the start-up window.
3 Installing the New Version This section describes the procedure for installing the new version of drive software wizards. 1. Run the version 3.4 installation file. 2. Verify the wizard version (see section below). Verifying the Wizard Version Run DriveExplorer, DriveExecutive or RSLogix 5000 Drive Add-On Profiles and connect to a drive online, or run DriveExecutive or RSLogix 5000 Drive Add-On Profiles and open a saved drive configuration offline. Launch any available wizard and view the version label on the start-up window. It should be 3.4.x (ignore the right-most digit).
4 Enhancements The following enhancement was made in this version of drive software. Added Connected Components Workbench Information to the Tech Support Wizard Software revision information for Connected Components Workbench software components has been added to the Tech Support wizard. Corrected Anomalies The following anomaly correction was made in this version of drive software wizards: Page Layouts for Localized Wizards Corrected Anomaly: Text on certain localized wizard pages were truncated. Correction: These wizards page layouts were corrected and text is no longer truncated. Restrictions The following restrictions apply to this version of drive software wizards: Drive software wizards (version 1.2) were introduced with the launches of DriveExplorer version 5.01 and DriveTools SP version 4.01. Earlier versions of these software tools do not support wizards. Although wizards were introduced with DriveExplorer version 5.01, DriveExplorer version 5.02 (or higher) is required to use the version 1.3 and some later wizards. Some wizards are only compatible with DriveTools version 5.01, DriveExplorer version 6.01, and Drives AOP version 2.01 or later. Please refer to the Available Wizards for Each Release table on page 1. Restrictions are noted in footnote 1.
