7 Chapter 1 How to Use this Guide This guide provides the information and procedures you need for installing FactoryTalk Material Manager. What s new in this release? New system requirements and new installation instructions for these system requirements have been added to the FactoryTalk Batch products, including FactoryTalk eprocedure and FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager. New system requirements Following are new system requirements for version 12.01: The Batch Server (Batch, eprocedure, and Material Manager) can now be placed on any supported operating system. If you are using a 32-bit computer, use Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 or Windows Server 2012 If you are using a 64-bit computer, use Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 or Windows Server 2012 R2 FactoryTalk Batch version components require: FactoryTalk Services Platform version 2.73 or later A minimum of.net Framework 4.0. FactoryTalk Batch product enhancements FactoryTalk Batch includes these new features for version 12.01: The Batch Server (Batch, eprocedure, and Material Manager) can now be placed on any supported operating system. 9 Chapter 2 System requirements Review the following information before setting up your FactoryTalk Batch system. System Requirements The following are the minimum and recommended system requirements to successfully install, configure, and run FactoryTalk Batch components. These requirements assume that no other applications is running on the computer, unless it is an application that is listed in the Tested third-party software section. Use a DVD-ROM drive to install the software. Ensure that all selected hardware is on the compatibility list for any one of the following: Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 (32-bit) Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (64-bit) Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (64-bit) Windows 8.1 (32-bit and 64-bit) Systems that do not meet the minimum requirements for the version of software being used are not covered under warranty. Important: FactoryTalk Batch components version are supported in U.S. English only. You must install the English language version of Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2012, SQL Server (if used), Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 to ensure proper operation of FactoryTalk Batch, FactoryTalk eprocedure, or FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager. For more information about supported operating systems and other Rockwell Software product version support, refer to the Product Compatibility and Download Center (PCDC) at: The FactoryTalk Batch Server computer cannot be configured as a: Domain Controller DHCP Server WINS Server RAS Server DNS Server Master Browser Replication cannot be enabled on the FactoryTalk Batch Server computer. 10 Chapter 2 System requirements Install FactoryTalk Batch software on an NTFS formatted hard drive, as Windows security features are available only for drives formatted to use NTFS. Important: Systems with modified DCOM configuration settings are not covered under warranty. Configuring settings using DCOMCNFG may stop the FactoryTalk Batch Server and prevent the FactoryTalk Batch Service Manager from functioning correctly. Important: The domain name and server name must contain only the alphanumeric characters a through z, 0 through 9 and the dash (-) and period (.). If the server name contains other characters, such as an underscore (_), Internet Explorer blocks cookies from a server. If a server or domain name does contain unsupported characters, the eprocedure Client does not retain the logged on user's name. Important: FactoryTalk Batch version components do not support touch screen technology. Hardware and software requirements The following is a list of the hardware and software required to install and use FactoryTalk Batch. The requirements listed are the minimum tested (and therefore supported) requirements. Operating System Server Any operating system listed in the System requirements section. Client Any operating system listed in the System requirements section. Configuration requirements for Windows Server for Material Manager Server The English version of FactoryTalk Batch for version can be installed on any supported operating system and any supported SQL Server for use with the Material Manager. SQL Server can reside on the same computer as the Batch Server, but this is neither required nor recommended. All supported operating systems are tested for version 12.01, and therefore warrantied, by Rockwell Automation. Install the operating system using the default selections. For the server operating system, add the Application Server role. For instructions on how to add the Application Server role, see the Configure the operating system section. Add Microsoft Message Queuing Service. Important: It is highly recommended that you use the default installation directories for all components. The application, test suite, and associated documentation assume default directories are used. Extensive unit and system testing by Rockwell Automation ensures that all components function as one solution after the application is configured. Tested third-party software The following new software has been tested with the current version of FactoryTalk Batch components. 13 Chapter 3 Set up a FactoryTalk Batch system Review the following information before setting up your FactoryTalk Batch system. FactoryTalk Activation FactoryTalk Activation is used to license FactoryTalk Batch, FactoryTalk eprocedure and FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager. FactoryTalk Activation is only required on FactoryTalk Batch Server installations. FactoryTalk Activation is not necessary on Batch client installations, eprocedure client installation, or any Material Manager installations. The FactoryTalk Batch Server computer requires the FactoryTalk Activation Manager to enable communication with the FactoryTalk Activation Server. If your FactoryTalk Activation Server is not on the same computer as the Rockwell Automation Publication BWMTR-IN011D-EN-P September
14 Chapter 3 Set up a FactoryTalk Batch system FactoryTalk Batch Server then you must install the FactoryTalk Activation Manager on the FactoryTalk Batch Server computer. Activation files are obtained in one of the following ways: Go to the Rockwell Software licensing website Use the FactoryTalk Activation Manager on a computer that has internet access. 15 Set up a FactoryTalk Batch system Chapter 3 FactoryTalk Batch component integration FactoryTalk Batch components are completely open, configurable products that help you define, manage, monitor and control manufacturing at local or remote sites. A typical FactoryTalk Batch architecture consists of one or more computers on a single network. The following diagram gives an example of a possible FactoryTalk Batch network: Server replacement guidelines for Material Manager Consider the following guidelines when deciding where to place your servers on the network: Install the FactoryTalk eprocedure Server on the same computer as the FactoryTalk Batch Server. Install the FactoryTalk Batch Material Server on a computer with SQL Server. Do not install the Material Server on the same computer as the FactoryTalk Batch Server. 17 Chapter 4 Install FactoryTalk Batch Material Server There are setup procedures that must be completed before and after you install the Material Server. To define the Material Server installation process, the installation is divided into the following three categories: Pre-Installation Procedures Installation Configure the Material Server Use the following checklist when installing the Material Server and Client: Pre-Installation Procedures for Material Server and Client Install Operating System Install Microsoft Message Queuing Service See the New system requirements section for supported operating systems. Required for the Material Journaling. Install Microsoft SQL Server SQL Server is installed on the same computer as the Material Server. Set Up Security Configure security and user accounts. Identify Material Server Domain Level User Identify and configure the domain level user account. Log on to Windows Log on with Administrator privileges. Enable Windows Firewall Enable the firewall if you want the Material Manager setup program to populate the firewall exceptions. Install Material Server Install the FactoryTalk Services Platform Install the FactoryTalk Services Platform. Client requirement. Install the Material Server/Client Install the Material Server with the Material Client. Configure the Material Server and Client Set System Date and Time Each computer in the Batch System must be set to the same date and time. Modify Event Log Settings Configure the Windows Application and System logs. Enable Material Journaling Share the Batch Directory on the SQL Server Computer To enable Material Journaling complete the steps on the following page. Add additional firewall exceptions that allow the Material Server to function properly. Pre-installation procedures for Material Server and Client Before you install the Material Server and Client you must install and configure the Windows operating system, and install other third-party software that is used with your FactoryTalk Batch system. Install Microsoft Message Queuing Service on Windows Server You must install the Microsoft Message Queuing Service (MSMQ) prior to installing FactoryTalk Batch Material Server. The Material Server uses MSMQ for the asynchronous logging of messages in the Material Activity Journal. To install Message Queuing Service on Windows Server: 1. From the Start menu, select Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Server Manager. or Control Panel > Administrative Tools Tile >Service Manager. 2. Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 for Material Manager Follow this procedure to configure the Windows 7 and 8.1 operating system. For Windows 7 and Windows 8.1: 1. Select Start > Control Panel, navigate to Programs and Features > Turn Windows Features on or off. The Windows Features dialog box opens. The blue-filled boxes indicate that the feature is turned on. If you select the plus sign to expand the box, the components in the expanded box are not selected. This is as expected. The feature is still turned on even if the lower components are not selected. 2. Select Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ) Server. 3. 23 Install FactoryTalk Batch Material Server Chapter 4 Install Microsoft SQL Server For FactoryTalk Batch Material Server installations, install Microsoft SQL Server on the same computer where you will install the FactoryTalk Batch Material Server. (See New system requirements for supported versions.) SQL Server services must be running during the installation process. Important: If you intend to store recipes (from the FactoryTalk Batch Recipe Editor) on a remote SQL Server, you must add TCP Port 1433 as an exception in the Windows Firewall. (See Configure the Windows Firewall for more information.) Set up security There are five preset domain user groups and one domain user account that must be created prior to installation. These domain accounts are then added to the appropriate COM+ roles during the installation. (For more information about security settings, see the section on Security settings in the Material Manager Administrator s Guide.) Identify Material Server domain level user When you install the Material Server component, the setup program prompts you for the account and password for the domain or workgroup level user. Log on to Windows Material Manager Log on to Windows with administrator privileges. Close any open applications. Tip: The logged in user must be a member of the domain and also have local administrator rights on the computer where the Material Server is being installed. Enable the Windows Firewall If you want the installation program to populate the firewall exceptions automatically, you must first enable Windows Firewall Service prior to running the installation. This allows the Firewall Configuration Utility to add the necessary exceptions. Important: The Windows Firewall settings may be managed externally. If this is the case, you will not be able change the Windows Firewall settings. Tip: You must enable the service on both the Server and Client computers. Enable the Windows Firewall: 1. From the Start menu, select Control Panel > Windows Firewall. The Windows Firewall dialog box opens. 2. Only if the Firewall is off, select Turn Windows Firewall On or Off. Tip: If the Windows Firewall was not enabled before installing your Batch applications, run the FactoryTalk Windows Firewall Configuration Utility on each computer in your Batch system to add the required exceptions. (See Configure the Windows Firewall for more information.) For a complete list of the exceptions added to Windows Firewall during FactoryTalk Batch component installation, see the FactoryTalk Batch Administrator s Guide. Install Material Server and Client You are ready to install the Material Server and Client. Complete the following sections in the order that they appear. Install the FactoryTalk Services Platform You must install the FactoryTalk Services Platform before installing FactoryTalk Batch components. To install the FactoryTalk Services Platform: 1. Use your Windows Explorer to navigate to the location of your installation. 2. Navigate into the FactoryTalk Material Manager directory. 3. Select Setup. 4. Right-click and select Run as Administrator. 5. In the Welcome dialog box, select Install FactoryTalk Components. 25 Install FactoryTalk Batch Material Server Chapter 4 6. Select Install FactoryTalk Services Platform. The FactoryTalk Services Platform dialog box opens. Tip: If the Microsoft.NET Framework is not already installed, you are prompted to install it. After it is installed, the FactoryTalk Services Platform dialog box opens. 7. Select Next. 8. In the License Agreement dialog box, read the license agreement, and select I accept the terms in the license agreement. Select Next. 9. In the Setup Type dialog box, select Standard (if it is not already selected), and select Next. 10. Select Install. After a few moments, the Configuring FactoryTalk Directory progress box opens. It shows you that any existing FactoryTalk directories have been backed up, the backup file name(s), and the path to the backup files. Tip: The FactoryTalk Directory is configured during the installation process. The FactoryTalk Directory Wizard can be run manually; however, if you need to define or reset a disabled Administrator account, see the FactoryTalk Directory Configuration Wizard online help for more information.) 11. Select Finish, and then select Yes to restart your computer (if prompted to do so). For more detailed information on FactoryTalk Directory installation and configuration, you can view the FactoryTalk Administration Console help file (FTAdminEN.chm) located in C:\Program Files (x86)\common Files\Rockwell\Help. 26 Chapter 4 Install FactoryTalk Batch Material Server Install the Material Server and Client These instructions assume that you are installing a FactoryTalk Batch Material Server on a computer networked with other computers. Before you begin the installation, complete all the pre-installation procedures. If you need to exit the installation process at any time, select Cancel. To install the Material Server and Client: 1. Use your Windows Explorer to navigate to the location of your installation. 2. Navigate into the FactoryTalk Material Manager directory. 3. Select Setup. 4. Right-click and select Run as Administrator. 5. From the Welcome dialog box, select Install FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager. The FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager Install Disk dialog box opens. 6. Select Install FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager. Important: If the installation program detects an existing FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager installation, it gives you the option to remove the current installation. You must remove the existing version of the software before installing the upgrade. For instructions on removing the current installed version, see the section Uninstall the FactoryTalk Batch applications. 7. The FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager InstallShield Wizard opens. Select Next. 8. In the License Agreement dialog box, select I accept the terms in the license agreement. Select Next. 9. In the Customer Information dialog box, enter your name and organization in the appropriate boxes. Select Next. 10. Including the Client Components is recommended so administrative tasks can be performed on the server computer. 27 Install FactoryTalk Batch Material Server Chapter 4 Tip: The default installation directory is C:\Program Files\Rockwell Software\Batch\. To set a different directory, select Change, select the desired directory, and then select OK. 11. Select the Space button (near the bottom of the dialog box) to confirm there is enough disk space for installing the selected options. The Disk Space Requirements dialog box opens. If there is not adequate space, the drive is highlighted. 12. Select OK. If installing as part of an existing FactoryTalk Batch system, select Yes, I am adding this computer to an existing FactoryTalk Batch System. Select Next. The Existing Server Details dialog box opens. Enter the Server Node Name. Select Next. If installing as the first install of the FactoryTalk Batch module software, select No, this will be the first computer in a FactoryTalk Batch System. Select Next. 16. In the Domain/Workgroup Details dialog box, select Domain or Workgroup to indicate how you want to install FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager. Important: Do not select Workgroup if the computer is on a domain. Configuring FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager as a workgroup while the computer itself is on a domain is not a supported configuration. 17. Enter the Domain/Workgroup Name, User Name, and Password for the FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager Services Domain or Workgroup account. Select Next. Important: After the Material Server and Material Client have been installed, if you are in a Workgroup, see the section Configure the Batch Server to run on a Workgroup for instructions on configuring the Batch Server to operate properly in a Workgroup setting. 18. In the Ready to Install the Program dialog box, verify your selections. If anything is incorrect, select the Back button and make the appropriate corrections. When you are ready to proceed, select Install. 19. The Installing FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager dialog box opens. The required operations are performed and the necessary files are copied to the hard drive. 20. When prompted, select Finish. Select Yes to restart your computer. 29 Install FactoryTalk Batch Material Server Chapter 4 After you install the Material Server and Client computer Set system date and time You are now ready to configure the Material Server computer. The following instructions are provided to assist you in this process. Each computer on the network must have its locale, date, and time set in the same manner. Modify event log settings Configure the Windows Application and System logs to overwrite events as needed. (For more information about modifying event log settings, see the section Modifying Event Log Settings in the FactoryTalk Batch Administrator s Guide.) Enable material journaling Recording activity to the Material Activity Journal is turned off by default. If you want to record activity to the MaterialBasedRecipe_MAJ database, you must change the default value in the Registry on the Material Server computer. To enable material journaling: 1. From the Start menu, select Run. Enter regedt32 in the Run dialog box and select OK. The Registry Editor opens. 2. Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and then Software. 3. If you are using a 64-bit computer, expand Wow6432node. 4. Navigate to the MaterialTrack > Material Recipe > Logging subkey. 5. Select the JournalActive subkey and double-click the (Default) value on the right side of the Registry window. The Edit String dialog box opens. 30 Chapter 4 Install FactoryTalk Batch Material Server 6. To enable material logging, enter True in the Value box and select OK. 7. Close the Registry Editor. Share the FactoryTalk Batch directory on the SQL Server computer By default, the Batch directory on the SQL Server computer, which is also running FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager, is not shared to domain users. Therefore, domain users cannot access the appropriate application.log file when an error message refers them to it. If you want domain users to be able to read application logs, share the Batch directory on the SQL Server computer in your FactoryTalk Batch system to domain users and give the share Read-Only permissions. Configure the Network Editor Add the material database name to the Material Server network configuration. See the FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager Administrator s Guide for more information. Configure the Windows Firewall You must configure the Material Server to function properly on Windows Server with the firewall enabled. Important: The Windows Firewall settings may be managed externally. If this is the case, you will not be able change the Windows Firewall settings. To configure the Windows Firewall: 1. From the Start menu, select Control Panel, and then select Windows Firewall. 2. Select the Exceptions tab. 3. 31 Install FactoryTalk Batch Material Server Chapter 4 Important: If you intend to store recipes (from the FactoryTalk Batch Recipe Editor) on a remote SQL Server, you must add TCP Port 1433 as an exception in the Windows Firewall. 4. Select OK. Restart the computer if prompted to do so. Once these changes have been made, reporting clients, such as the Material Editor and FactoryTalk Batch View, can connect to the Material Server computer. Add an incoming firewall rule If you are running on a Workgroup, you must add an Incoming Firewall Rule to allow the Batch Service Manager to connect to the server in a timely manner. To add an incoming firewall rule: On the computer where the Batch Server is being installed: 1. From the Start menu, select Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Windows Firewall with Advanced Security. 2. Select Inbound Rules, right-click Inbound Rules, and then select New Rule. The New Inbound Rule Wizard opens. 3. On Rule Type window, select Port and select Next. 4. If not already selected, select TCP and type in the Specific local ports box. Select Next. 32 Chapter 4 Install FactoryTalk Batch Material Server 5. Select Allow the connection and Select Next. 6. Select all profiles (Domain, Private, Public) and select Next. 7. Enter Port TCP in the Name box, and then select Finish. 8. Verify that the Port TCP rule was added to the Inbound Rules list: 9. Close the Windows Firewall with Advanced Security window. Disable Administrative Approval Mode You must disable Administrative Approval Mode for all Administrators on the Server computer when running in a Workgroup configuration. To disable Administrative Approval Mode: On the computer where the Batch Server has been installed: 1. Locate User Account Control: Run all Administrators in Admin Approval Mode and double-click it. 4. In the Security Setting tab, select Disabled and click OK. 5. Verify that User Account Control: Run All Administrators in Admin Approval Mode is now set to Disabled. 6. Close the Local Security Policy window. Install Batch Server or Material Server on Windows 7 and 8.1 (optional) Follow these instructions if a Batch Server or Material Manager Server is to be installed on Windows 7 and 8.1 operating system. To Install Batch Server or Material Server on Windows 7 and 8.1: 1. From the Start menu, select Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services. 35 Install FactoryTalk Batch Material Server Chapter 4 Install a loopback adapter (optional) If you are in a workgroup or if you may be disconnected from the network on occasion (such as a laptop). You must install a loopback adapter. Install FactoryTalk Batch Material Client Setup procedures must be completed before and after you install the Material Client. To define the Material Client installation process, the installation is divided into the following three categories: Pre-installation Installation Configuration Use the following checklist when installing the Material Client. Pre-Installation Procedures Material Client Install Operating System For supported operating systems, see the New system requirements section. Set Up Security Configure security on the client computer. Identify Material Server Name Identify the name of the computer where the Material Server is installed. Log on to Windows Log on with Administrator privileges. Enable Windows Firewall (optional) Enable the firewall and add firewall exceptions that allow the Material Client to communicate with the Material Server. Install Material Client Install the FactoryTalk Services Platform Install the FactoryTalk Services Platform. Client requirement. Install the Material Client Install the Material Client. Configure the Material Client Set System Date and Time Each computer in the Batch System must be set to the same date and time. The Material Server uses MSMQ for the asynchronous logging of messages in the Material Activity Journal. To install Message Queuing Service on Windows Server: 1. From the Start menu, select Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Server Manager. or Control Panel > Administrative Tools Tile >Service Manager. 2. Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 for Material Manager Follow this procedure to configure the Windows 7 and 8.1 operating system. For Windows 7 and Windows 8.1: 1. Select Start > Control Panel, navigate to Programs and Features > Turn Windows Features on or off. The Windows Features dialog box opens. The blue-filled boxes indicate that the feature is turned on. 39 Install FactoryTalk Batch Material Server Chapter 4 plus sign to expand the box, the components in the expanded box are not selected. This is as expected. The feature is still turned on even if the lower components are not selected. 2. Select Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ) Server. 3. Select OK to close the Turn Windows features on or off dialog box. Set up security There are five preset domain user groups and one domain user account that must be created prior to installation. These domain accounts are then added to the appropriate COM+ roles during the installation. (For more information about security settings, see the section on Security settings in the Material Manager Administrator s Guide.) Identify Material Server name When you install the Material Client component, you are prompted to enter the name of the computer where the Material Server is installed. Log on to Windows Material Manager Log on to Windows with administrator privileges. Close any open applications. Tip: The logged in user must be a member of the domain and also have local administrator rights on the computer where the Material Server is being installed. Enable and configure Windows Firewall You must configure the Windows Firewall Service to enable the Material Client to communicate with the Material Server with the firewall enabled depending upon the operating system that you are using. Complete the following sections in the order that they appear. Install the FactoryTalk Services Platform You must install the FactoryTalk Services Platform before installing FactoryTalk Batch components. To install the FactoryTalk Services Platform: 1. Use your Windows Explorer to navigate to the location of your installation. 2. Navigate into the FactoryTalk Material Manager directory. 3. Select Setup. 4. Right-click and select Run as Administrator. 5. In the Welcome dialog box, select Install FactoryTalk Components. The FactoryTalk Component Installation dialog box opens. 6. After it is installed, the FactoryTalk Services Platform dialog box opens. 7. Select Next. 8. In the License Agreement dialog box, read the license agreement, and select I accept the terms in the license agreement. Select Next. 9. In the Setup Type dialog box, select Standard (if it is not already selected), and select Next. 10. Select Install. After a few moments, the Configuring FactoryTalk Directory progress box opens. It shows you that any existing FactoryTalk directories have been backed up, the backup file name(s), and the path to the backup files. Tip: The FactoryTalk Directory is configured during the installation process. The FactoryTalk Directory Wizard can be run manually; however, if you need to define or reset a disabled Administrator account, see the FactoryTalk Directory Configuration Wizard online help for more information.) 11. Select Finish, and then select Yes to restart your computer (if prompted to do so). For more detailed information on FactoryTalk Directory installation and configuration, you can view the FactoryTalk Administration Console help file (FTAdminEN.chm) located in C:\Program Files (x86)\common Files\Rockwell\Help. Install the FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager Client Use this procedure to install the FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager Client. Before you install the FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager Client: Complete all pre-installation procedures. Exit the installation at any time by selecting Cancel. Install the FactoryTalk Batch Material Server and configure security/user accounts. For more information about Material Manager security and user accounts, see Implementing Security in the FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager Administrator s Guide.) To install the FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager Client: 1. Use your Windows Explorer to navigate to the location of your installation. 2. Navigate into the FactoryTalk Material Manager directory. Important: If you want the Windows Firewall Configuration Wizard to automatically configure the firewall for use with the Material Client, the FactoryTalk Services Platform must be installed on the same computer as the Material Client. For more information about installing FactoryTalk Services Platform, see the section Install the FactoryTalk Services Platform. 5. In the FactoryTalk Welcome dialog box, select Install FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager. The FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager Install Disk dialog box opens. Important: If the installation program detects an existing FactoryTalk Batch installation, it gives you the option to remove the current installation. You must remove the existing version of the software before installing the upgrade. For instructions on removing the current installed version, see the section Uninstall the FactoryTalk Batch applications. 6. Select Install FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager. The FactoryTalk Batch Material Manager InstallShield Wizard opens. Select Next. 7. In the License Agreement dialog box, read the agreement, and select I accept the terms in the license agreement. Select Next. 8. In the Customer Information dialog box, type your name and organization in the appropriate boxes. Select Next. Tip: The default installation directory is C:\Program Files\Rockwell Software\Batch\. To set a different directory, select Change, select the desired directory, and then select OK. 9. In the Custom Setup dialog box, disable Server Components. 10. Select the Space button (near the bottom of the dialog box) and confirm there is enough disk space to install the selected options.
