THOMAS WILLIAMS PRESIDENT My name is Thomas and I m a psychaholic. Words cannot express how excited I am for this year with the psych society! Having said that, here s a bunch of words trying to express just that: I am a 4 th years honours student working under Dr. Ouellette. Life after Mount A is scary, so let s not talk about that, and instead focus on what a fantastic year we re going to have! I would love to see all of you come out to our events just let me know what I can do to make it so! When I m not in Crabtree (room 232 come say hi!) you can find me LINKS-ing it up at the elementary school, at home watching Degrassi with my roommates, or out and about enjoying the variety of garlic fingers this town has to offer. If you ever want to chat about things (psych-related or otherwise) feel free to stop me on campus, write on the society s wall, or send an email to twilliams@mta.ca.

ALLY PENNELL VP SOCIAL My name is Ally Pennell and I am your Social Chair for the 2013/2014 year! I'm a fourth year student from Ontario double majoring in Psychology and Biology. After graduation this year (oh my!) I hope to pursue a career in Pediatric Medicine. When my head s not buried in a textbook you can find me volunteering at the local hospital, court-side as the trainer for the women's basketball team or hanging out with friends! I am so excited to meet all of you lovely people and to plan events for you this year to bring us all together! If you see me around campus, don't hesitate to stop and ask me about our exciting upcoming events or just to say hello :) xo Ally

HEATHER WEBSTER SOCIAL ASSOCIATE Hey Everyone! My name is Heather Webster and I am so excited to be your social associate for the 2013/2014 year! I can t wait to plan events for all of you and help to make your experience in psychology as wonderful as possible! I am a third year student from Halifax doing a major in Psychology with a minor in Political Science. After Mount Allison I am hoping to do a Masters in Health Administration. However, for now I m making the most of every moment at Mount A! I spend a lot of my time studying, though when I m not I m usually doing work as your Mount Allison Students Union VP Campus Life, doing things with psych society, or hanging out with my roomies! I think Psych Society is such a great way to get involved in the psychology program because it is a fun way to meet your professors as well as your classmates! I am really looking forward to meeting you all so if you see me on campus, please don t hesitate to stop and say hello!

PATTY MARSHALL VP FUNDRAISING Well hello there. I'm Patty Marshall, an honours student in Psychology. This year I am working on my thesis about false memories with Dr. Tomes. I am also the VP Fundraising for the super awesome Psych Society where I will be working on raising money so we can throw super awesome events! Next year, I hope to go to graduate school and specialize in memory. I would love to work with Dr. Fergus Craik at UofT. Hope to see you all in the future!

EMILY KERVIN FUNDRAISING ASSOCIATE I like the field of Psychology because it examines issues and phenomena that most people have experienced. In that way, Psychology allows me to feel more connected with others and with myself. I am involved with tutoring, TAing for the Psychology department, LINKS, and of course the Psychology Society. I am lucky enough to be working with Dr. Desmarais this year! We are working on a project involving the effects of cardiovascular disease on cognition. I will hopefully be continuing on in Psychology to complete a Masters degree in the field of Neuroscience. Hope to see you around!

JENELLE HULAN VP COMMUNICATIONS Hi everyone! My name is Jenelle Hulan and I am the VP Communications for the 2013-2014 year! I'm a fifth year B. A. Psychology major from Stephenville, Newfoundland. I have been a part of the Psyc Society for three years and I can't wait for another exciting year! You will be receiving lots of emails from me about all of our awesome events. After MTA, I am aiming to enter a masters program in clinical psychology. When I'm not in class, chances are you will see me in the Registrar's Office, the hockey rink, or at the gym! I am really looking forward to meeting you all so if you see me on campus, please don't hesitate to say hello! Cheers!

DESIREE GREGORY VP ACADEMIC Hi everyone! My name is Desiree Gregory, and I ll be this year s VP Academic! I m a fourth year student from PEI, completing honours in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. SARAH MACCALLUM ACADEMIC ASSOCIATE Hello! My name is Sarah and I ll be your academic associate this year! I m a second year psychology student (B.Sc.) hailing from the bustling metropolis that is Pictou, Nova Scotia. I m so excited to be helping out with all the society s academic activities this year along with everything else it does! My future plans involve becoming a military psychologist at a trauma hospital in Boston and I couldn't be more excited for that! When I m not doing school work you ll probably find me in the gym acting as one of the student trainers for the men s basketball team, running around to various committee meetings, or getting my fill of TLC marathons. Here s to a good year!
