FRENCH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE TRAINING Beginner 1 This course is intended for people who have never studied French or people who have taken French in the past but have either forgotten most of it or have not studied or used it for several years. The course will introduce basic French pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar. Students will learn to understand and speak French in simple, everyday situations. CARDINAL, Guylaine. FRENCH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE TRAINING Consolidation Grammar and Consolidation Course This course is designed to provide advanced students with a review of difficult grammatical notions and introduce them to new vocabulary and idiomatic expressions through the use of authentic material. The course will increase students' confidence in expressing their thoughts in French as well as understanding native speakers. Students will develop their written and oral competencies in a variety of situations and learn to use different registers appropriate to different contexts. Specific course objectives are developed based on the needs of the group.
