Features Explained Automated Attendant Automatically answer inbound calls using an automated attendant. Record your own greetings and menu options, e.g. Welcome to Acme. Dial 1 for Sales, 2 for Support,... Using the web interface, direct the menu options to extensions including ring groups. You can configure multiple attendants, e.g. day & night mode attendants or, in the case of multi-tenancy, attendants for each business that shares the one VMX system. Call Conferencing While on a call conference other parties, internal or external, into the call. Call Distribution (Ring Groups) Inbound calls can be automatically routed to groups of extensions, e.g. business departments. Extensions can be rung one by one or altogether. Unanswered calls can be forwarded to voicemail. Call Forwarding Inbound calls to an extension can be automatically forwarded to parties, internal or external, e.g. home & mobile numbers. Call Hold (Music On-Hold) Place an answered call on hold while you attend to another call or activity. The waiting party will listen to a selection of licensed music tracks. 21
Features Explained Call Logs (Call History) Using the web interface view a history of all calls made and received. These logs can be exported to a file, e.g. for import into Excel. Call Parking Inbound calls can be parked to a call-park extension. Callers will listen to music until another extension picks up the call. Call Pickup Answer a ringing extension from another extension by dialling *8. Call Transfer Transfer an answered call to another party, internal or external. Call Queuing Inbound calls to busy extensions & ring groups can be queued in sequence while awaiting answer. Callers will listen to music tracks or pre-recorded messages while having the option to record a voicemail message and exit the queue. Call Recording All calls made and received by users can be recorded and later retrieved through the web interface for listening & downloading. Conference Bridges Create and reserve your own dedicated conference bridge that other callers, internal & external, can dial into. Access is password protected. Inbound Call Routing Calls entering your business can be automatically routed to extensions, automated attendants and ring groups depending on time of day, called or caller number. You never have to miss a call, e.g. after working hours a business can have all calls routed to voicemail or mobile phones. Outbound Call Routing Calls from your business can be routed to different external numbers depending on the number dialled. Speed dials can be setup to replace commonly dialled numbers. Numbers can be modified or replaced. Calls to numbers can be restricted or barred. Calls can be routed through different internet phone service providers thus enabling Least Cost Routing. 23

Time of Day Routing Inbound calls can be automatically routed to different extensions depending on the time of day and day of week, e.g. calls between 9am-5pm can be routed to a day mode attendant while calls outside of these hours can be routed to a night mode attendant. Voicemail by Email Every registered extension and ring group has a voicemail box. Unanswered callers can record messages that will be automatically emailed to extension and ring group owners. Users may also listen to messages via their phone or the web interface. Mailbox sizes are configurable and old messages can be automatically deleted. 24
