Configurable geo app 20.11.2012 Concept This product (in its current version) consists of an iphone application and an online administration system. In general terms, the purpose of the app is by means of GPS technology to give users information about nearest bars, cafés and night clubs, including the facilities and commercial offers. In the same manner the app features the information about the users of the app: who is who and who is where. A user has an opportunity to search the venues by means of plenty different criteria, like opening hours, facilities and so on. A similar, but more limited functionality is available to search among the users. The purpose of the administration system is to give venue owners a possibility to publish information about the location of their venues, facilities and different offers. The following sections will describe in more detail the functionality of the mobile application, which can be divided into 2 parts, city-related and people-releated. City Users get an opportunity to find nearest venues and their commercial offers by means of certain search criteria. Pictures 1 and 2 show some venue search results on the map and on a list, respectively. Picture 3 shows some commercial offer search results on a list. Search criteria can be chosen from a wide variety of predefined criteria, which are specified in the administration system (mentioned earlier) by a system administrator. A user has an option either to select more general criteria or more specific ones (see pictures 4 and 5, respectively). Examples of search parameters: Venue type (bar, café, night club) Music type played in a night club Presence of a pool table in a bar Smoking area in a venue Whether or not a venue must be open at the time of search Search criteria can be dynamically added or removed, if needed, by a system administrator (in the administration system). Each venue has a simple page, where an app user can find all the information which corresponding venue owner has made available for app users to see (see picture 6). 1-6

People A user gets a possibility to create a simple personal profile (page), where he / she can specify sex, age, status, write a short description and put a picture (see picture 7). After creating a profile, a user can search other users which are close to him / her by means of different criteria, see them on a map, see their personal profiles and see their public messages. In addition it is possible to comment on other users public messages and like them. See pictures 8, 9, 10 and 11. A set of search criteria in this part of the app is not that big as in the city counterpart and it is not that dynamic (criteria can t be easily added or removed by the administrator). So far it only consists of age, sex and status. A user can turn his / her visibility on and off. When a user is visible, his / her location is available for others and he / she can in return see locations of other visible users. When a user is invisible, his / her location is unavailable and the user cannot see others. It is possible to add other users to friends and write personal messages (See picture 12). 3-6

Configurability This solution can with minor effort be adjusted to work with any other objects located in a city instead of bars, cafés and night clubs. Search criteria can also be tuned. Current design is done in a way so it can be easily adjusted, but if the overall functionality to be changed, than it should be re-considered and re-designed. Platforms Currently the app is developed for ios devices and partially developed on Android. It can run on iphone 5, but it will require re-design and adjustments if it is to fill the whole screen, as the screen on iphone 5 device is higher.
