MyOWNMcMaster Degree Pathway: Diploma in Business Administration with a Concentration in Marketing & Bachelor of Arts in History Requirements The MyOWNMcMaster degree pathway has three parts: diploma, elective and undergraduate courses. Students will complete courses with both the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) and the Faculty of Humanities, Department of History. At CCE, students take the Diploma in Business Administration with a Concentratin in Marketing (27 units) plus elective courses (33 units). With the Department of History, students take ten undergraduate courses (30 units). The 60 units taken with the Centre for Continuing Education must be completed with a B+ cumulative average in order for students to be eligible to continue to the undergraduate courses. If a B+ cumulative average is not achieved, students may be required to apply to the Faculty of Humanities to complete the degree. Successful completion of a Business Communications course (569-850/450 Business Communications or 570-920/420 Effective Communication) is required prior to the start of degree studies. Upon completion of the Diploma requirements, students will receive a Diploma in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Upon completion of the remaining requirements, students will receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. This MyOWNMcMaster pathway can be completed fully online, in-class or a combination of the two formats. Otherwise, courses can be completed in any order.
