2 PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE MINOR PROGRAM CHANGES FORM C TITLE OF PROGRAM/CERTIFICATE: Articulation Agreement All Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology: Three-Year Diploma in Business and the University of Windsor: Bachelor of Commerce (Honours Business Administration) DEPARTMENT/SCHOOL: Odette School of Business FACULTY: Odette School of Business Proposed change(s) effective as of [Fall, Winter, Spring]: Fall 2012 PART A PROGRAM REQUIREMENT CHANGES Please provide the current program requirements and the proposed new program requirements by cutting and pasting from the current undergraduate or graduate web calendar ( and clearly marking deletions with strikethrough (strikethrough) and additions/new information with bolding and underlining. Example: Major requirements: , , , , , , plus three additional courses at the 300-level or 400-level. Proposed Change Bachelor of Commerce (Honours Business Administration) Articulation Agreements with All Colleges (For Three Year Diploma programs in Business) Business Programs (Three Year Diploma): Students may enter the Honours Business Administration program after completing a three-year College business diploma program with a minimum cumulative average of B- or better and a minimum grade of B- in each transferable course or minimum cumulative average of B- for each grouping of transferrable courses and in the case of one to one transfers of specified 3 rd and 4 th years courses, an A- average. Such graduates may be granted up to seventeen twenty semester course credits towards the Bachelor of Commerce - Honours Business Administration degree. This agreement will be retroactive for three years from the date of its implementation. RATIONALE Please provide a rationale for the proposed change(s). The proposed change speficies that students need a minimum cumulative average of B- or better and a minimum grade of B- in each transferable course or minimum cumulative average of B- for each grouping of transferrable courses and in the case of one to one transfers of specified 3 rd and 4 th years courses, an A- average. NOTE: Transfer credit obtained through this articulation agreement is subject to reevaluation in cases where the student decides to transfer into another program at the University. In order to continue to facilitate the entry of students from CAAT three-year business programs into the University, the courses in the Colleges three-year Business programs have been and will continue to be examined by the appropriate Departments at the University and the appropriate College, and equivalencies will be established. Odette, in consultation with the appropriate departments, will prepare a list of course equivalencies for each college in Ontario. For example, the attached equivalencies for graduates of three year St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology business diploma programs. See attached Review of agreement: This agreement is in effect for a period of five years, with a thorough review during the fourth third year. This agreement may be reviewed at any time at the request of either party, and may be amended upon mutual agreement, with the understanding that students already admitted to Odette under the agreement will be permitted to complete their program.
