Supplementary studies What are they? Extra courses to complete in addition to your MSc degree 120 cr Why? Purpose is to end up meeting the objectives of the (BIZ) MSc degree as well as possible. Since some students, who have completed BSc degree elsewhere do not necessarily have all the required knowledge on essential degree programme studies, which are normally included in the (BIZ) BSc degree studies. So we want to ensure that all our students have the same set of fundamentals of business skills. Which courses? These are individually defined based on your previous degree. You will receive a separate letter, in case you will be assigned some supplementary courses. When to study these? It is a good idea to complete these studies during your first year, since they usually function as an introduction to some of the courses / studies. Contact person: Misela Väisänen, (misela.vaisanen@aalto.fi) 22
Credit transfer of previous studies You can apply for credit transfer of individual course(s) or minor study module The credit transfer is possible when the course has: - a corresponding amount of credits to BIZ s course - equivalent content to BIZ course - required level of the course: BSc/Msc For more information visit INTO at into.aalto.fi > Bachelor and Master s students > School of Business, Helsinki > Planning your studies > Credit transfer 23
