7 PSIA Concentrations The PSIA Concentrations are the full embodiment of the diversity of PSIA course offerings. PSIA offers twenty one concentration programs, from which students select two concentrations. With 8 master programs and 21 concentrations, PSIA students have more than 3000 different possible combinations of master and concentrations for their academic program, in addition to our dual degree programs. > Each semester, students take 1 in each of their concentrations. A concentration in Regional Studies is highly recommended for all students. For dual degree students, you will be asked to choose only one concentration. > Students must choose 2 concentrations which they will follow for the duration of their studies at PSIA. Changes of concentrations are possible. They must be approved by the academic advisor before the end of the first semester at PSIA.

10 PSIA Academic requirements (1/3) 1. PSIA students must take all courses required in their maquette every semester. By the end of their studies at PSIA, to get their degree, they must have taken: 2 PSIA Fundamentals (please visit to find out which of the PSIA Fundamentals may also count for Sciences Po's Offre Commune ) 2 Skills courses 9 courses of their Master Core Curriculum 3 courses of their 1st Concentration 3 courses of their 2nd Concentration 3 language courses 2. PSIA students must validate at least the following courses to get their degree: 2 PSIA Fundamentals 1 Skills course 6 courses of their Master Core Curriculum 2 courses of their 1st Concentration 2 courses of their 2nd Concentration 3 language courses

11 PSIA Academic requirements (2/2) PSIA students pursuing a dual degree with an international university must: - Take all courses required in their maquette every semester. - Validate at least the following courses at PSIA: 2 PSIA Fundamentals (may also count for Sciences Po's "Offre Commune") 1 Skills course 4 courses of their Master Core Curriculum 2 courses of their Concentration 1 language course per academic semester at PSIA Any additional requirement related to their dual degree program

12 Academic requirements (3/3) Sciences Po Academic rules and regulations: Article 44: Conditions that students must have met in order to receive a Master degree from Sciences Po. (Including Completion of all specialized courses required by the Master program in which they are enrolled ) 120 credits 30 credits per semester minimum Attention à «l assiduité»: No more than 2 justified absences. Grades and exams Intellectual Integrity Academic calendar

13 Grades and exams Grades and grading system Students obtaining a grade equal to or higher than 10/20 will receive credit for the course as well as the total corresponding number of ECTS credits. For any grade lower than 10/20 or for default, the student will not receive credit for the course and no credits will be awarded. Midterm and Final Exams for lectures and exceptionally for seminars

14 Intellectual Integrity Cheating. Students suspected of cheating during an exam will be allowed to complete the exam. A report will then be submitted, signed by the director s representative and countersigned by the proctor who observed the alleged cheating. Plagiarism. Teachers suspecting students of plagiarism must inform the Office of the Dean of Academic Affairs, providing all available evidence. Plagiarism is deemed to have occurred when a student s ideas as expressed in his or her work cannot be distinguished from those of other authors. It may be constituted by any of the following: clusters of consecutive words (five or more) without citation, paraphrasing, translation and verbatim copying. Anti-plagiarism software is in use by professors and by the Office of the Dean of Academic Affairs. Any student may be requested to submit his or her work in digital format. In the event that cheating or plagiarism can be demonstrated, the student concerned will be given a grade of 0/20 for the course. The Director of Sciences Po may also refer cases to the disciplinary committee.

Spring break: from Sunday, February 23rd, until Sunday, March 2 nd.
