GENERAL This system is desiged to operate the tap chager from a desigated distace by meas of a triple gearig system, maually. MRCS Remote Cotrol Systems are used for tap chagers 20-800A 2. OPERATION PRINCIPLE OF THE SYSTEM The operatio priciple of the system depeds o a coical gearig system. I order to obtai a sigle positio displacemet i tap Body Part No. 2 ad 3 chager, the agular proportios are calculated for gears so that whe hadle is tured three times the tap chagers chages oe positio. The system is desiged so that it will lock at every positio. Moreover i order to make the system more reliable a mechaical lockig device is added. 20 kgf is eough to operate the system. Do ot apply more tha this value ad do ot force the system to chage positio beyod the first ad the last positios. If requested, a switch system ca be added to your system to avoid the usage of the tap chager off-positio. This system triggers the switch whe the positio of the chager is ot chaged properly ad cuts off the voltage. 3. MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS Body Part No- The system is desiged accordig to IP 54 protectio class ad the bodies are protected agaist evirometal coditios. The exteral parts are either paited or CrNi plated. 4. CONDITIONS TO BE QUOTED WHEN ORDERING Whe orderig please quote the code umber of the tap chager, the dimesios L, A, B ad the thickess dimesio e. Ex: If the tap chager has 3 positios adjust it to 2d positio. If it has 5 positios adjust it to 3rd positio. Assemble the tap chager to your trasformer. 2. Assemble the part (3) to the tap chager's shaft. Fix this body to the trasformer with the help of 2 M6 uts. 3. Mout the parts () ad (2) to the trasformer with M6 uts. While moutig the bodies, pay attetio to the perpedicularity of the axis o which the bodies lie. 4. Adjust the part () to the middle positio of the tap chager ad block it. 5. Joi the parts () ad (2) with the help of coectio shafts. 6. If there is ay eccetricity problem betwee couplig axes while makig the shaft coectios of the parts (2) ad (3) ; a. Remove the oil seal o the etrace gear of the part (3). b. Remove the rig o the bearig. c. Hit the gear shaft which is a extesio of the etrace shaft without damagig the gear, ad take the gear out. d. Adjust the gear fixig key with respect to the key slot o the coectio bar, assemble the gear back to its place ad remout the oil seal ad the rig. 7. Combie the bodies (2) ad (3) with the help of coectio coupligs ad keys. 8. There is a special mechaical lockig system o the part (2). This lockig system prevets the tap chager positio to be chaged beyod the first ad last positios. It is pre-adjusted to the middle positio of the tap chager ad fixed with lockig uts. The tap chager is to be assembled as described i item- so as to esure the proper operatio of this lockig device. MRCS / 04
