KEYNOTE SPEAKERS JOHN GIDUCK Presenting on TERRORIST HOSTAGE NEGOTIATIONS John has trained state and federal law enforcement officers and agents, including DEA, FBI, US Marshal s Service, and SWAT teams throughout the US. He has served as a consultant on various international and terrorism subjects, and as a Russian Organized Crime instructor, for numerous federal and state agencies. He currently devotes his professional time to the Archangel Group, providing anti-terrorism consulting and training. He is a graduate of the FBI Citizen s Academy and holds the highest level expert certification in Homeland Security through the American College of Forensic Examiners International, and is a former member of the Executive Advisory Board of the American College of Homeland Security and Police marksman magazine. This course provides in-depth training on the dramatic differences between U.S. law enforcement hostage negotiation techniques and terrorist mass-hostage negotiations. This training is based upon decades of experience from Russia, the Middle East, the United States, and others. This course can also be divided into lecture and practical instruction and is unsurpassed in scope and focus. DR. MAURICIO LYNN Presenting on OPERATIONAL RESPONSE TO MASS CASUALTY INCIDENTS Dr. Mauricio Lynn is a Trauma Surgeon at Ryder Trauma Center University of Miami and the head of Mass Casualty Preparedness and Response at University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Lynn is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the Israeli Defense Forces where he served for 18 years. Dr Lynn was Flight Surgeon with the Israeli Air Force Special Forces Medical Commander of the Air Rescue and Medical Evacuation Unit and Head of Trauma for the Military. He was in charge of policy making for field trauma care field management of MCI s for the military and advisor for the Israeli EMS for urban MCI s. He served as advisor for the Israeli Health Ministry on Trauma and Hospital Preparedness for MCI s and in charge of hospital preparedness education and training together with the Health Ministry for all hospitals in Israel. Dr. Lynn presents an exciting and vital view of the Israeli approach to Mass Casualties. His insider knowledge of how US communities work puts this program in the ideal US context. Many of the lessons learned from the Israeli experience were used to better prepare Jackson Memorial Hospital to respond to MCI's after September 11th. Having been on the scene of some of the world's worst tragedies (Earthquake in Turkey, US Embassy bombings, Airplane crashes and more) Dr. Lynn understands MCI's and gives participants the benefit of years of experience as an Israel Defenses Forces Lt. Colonel (ret.) and Flight Surgeon for the Israeli Air Force.
