Provided training and technical support in the use of the LSI-R and YO-LSI risk/need assessment instrument to probation officers, addictions and mental health counselors, and other criminal justice professionals working with adult and juvenile offenders. Street Level Policing Efforts in Cincinnati: The Content of Community and Traditional Policing and The Perceptions of Policing Audiences. Duties included data collection (direct observations of police officers), data entry, and the implementation and collection of police officer surveys related to the project. Project funded by the National Institute of Justice ($234,000). 1994 1997 Senior Case Developer. Client Specific Planning. The National Center on Institutions and Alternatives (NCIA), Alexandria, Virginia. Developed detailed social history investigations on behalf of defense attorneys for individual defendants facing criminal disposition in various federal, state and local courts, and other institutions. Specializing in sentencing and post-conviction matters, individualized sentencing profiles and assessments with client specific recommendations regarding treatment and supervision programs in communitybased settings were provided. Prepared, performed, and facilitated trainings on client specific planning for defense attorneys, probation officers, and social workers. Intern coordinator, trainer, and supervisor. 1993 1994 Research Assistant. Neighborhood Oriented Policing Program. Developed action plan for the community of Sumava Resorts (Newton County, Indiana) to increase community involvement and decrease juvenile delinquency. Principle Investigator: Dr. Shela R.
