Responsibilities included: domestic violence cases; DWI cases; other misdemeanor cases; handling large volume of cases under tight deadlines with wide latitude to use prosecutorial discretion; preparing to go to trial on 15 to 25 case for each weekly trial docket; interviewing witnesses; evaluating trial risks; presenting oral arguments at hearings; drafting motions and responses; creating demonstrative exhibits; and handling competency and bond hearings.
