Introduction Welcome to your Training Halifax Intermediaries have introduced pre population from Intermediaries online to the General Insurance (GI) system. This is only available for intermediaries who are authorised to sell Halifax GI products. What have we changed? Single Sign On If you are signed on to Mortgage Intermediaries Online and wish to complete a GI Quote/Sale you will automatically be signed in to GI Intermediaries Online. Pre-population of GI Intermediaries Online Data is taken directly from your mortgage application and used to pre-populate as many GI fields as possible. Auto on Risk' functionality - Your customers Home Insurance policies can be placed on risk automatically when the mortgage completes. You must hold the relevant authorisations and be registered to enter GI Intermediaries Online.
Pre Population from Intermediaries Online Buildings &/or Contents quotes
General Insurance (GI) Screen within Intermediaries Online The screen below will appear as part of a full application and allows you to confirm if you are authorised to sell Halifax General Insurance. This question is mandatory, when answering Yes the 2 nd question is enabled. When indicating one of these options, it will determine what information is pre populated over into the General Insurance system.
GI screen within Intermediaries Online Quote option selected If you have selected Quote as displayed above, once the mortgage application has been successfully submitted you are then presented with the screens below. When you click OK on the screen above, the screen to the right will appear indicating the details are being transmitted to the GI system. Click OK again which will transfer you onto the GI system.
GI Quotation System - Customer Details Screen Once you have clicked OK, as per page 6 the GI system will open up automatically. The majority of the customers details will be pre populated with exception to the highlighted areas below that you will need to complete. Before clicking next please fill in the missing details. If 2 applicants are present details will also appear under the 2 nd applicant. Check the correspondence address is displayed correctly.
GI Quotation System Underwriting Questions Once you have clicked Next as per page 7, the following screen is displayed. This screen displays the standard questions required to produce a Buildings & Contents quotation. Please check/amend all these questions where applicable. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Please review the questions before clicking Next, as the questions are defaulted to common answers. If you DO NOT review them and your client needs to make a potential claim, any incorrect answers here may invalidate that claim.
GI Quotation System Data Collection Screen Once you have clicked Next as per page 8 the following screen is displayed. Note: Some of these questions are pre-filled with data collected from the mortgage application. Where information is missing please enter the correct details before proceeding IMPORTANT INFORMATION Please review the questions before clicking Next and answer them correctly. Where incorrect information is provided, any potential claim made by your clients could be invalidated.
GI Quotation System - Level of Cover Screen Once you have clicked Next as per page 9 the following screen is displayed. This screen will allow you to select the level of cover your clients require. IMPORTANT INFORMATION If you select Yes, you will be presented with an additional screen that allows you to enter the specified items. Please ensure that your clients are selecting the correct level of cover that they require, and that they understand what is excluded based on the level of cover they have chosen.
GI Quotation System Quotation Screen Once you have clicked Next as per page 10 the following screen is displayed. You will now be presented with the cost based on the cover selected on page 10. NAME Once you have provided your clients with the cost, you have a number of options detailed above, the next page will look at the Save Quote and Put on Risk options.
GI Quotation System Save Quotation Screen NAME If you have opted to save the quotation until a later date, you will be presented with this screen. This will confirm the details saved along with the QTE number, you will need to make a note of it to find your quotation at a later date. Remember!! This is valid for 6 months GI Quotation System Auto on Risk Screen Where you have opted to Put on Risk the screen to the right will be displayed. This screen allows you to enter a start date or to indicate the policy automatically starts on completion of the mortgage. If you choose Put on Risk, on completion of your clients mortgage application we will automatically put the policy on risk. IMPORTANT INFORMATION If you select Auto on Risk policy documents will not be sent out until the mortgage completes.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION Cancel from Auto on Risk To remove a policy from Auto on Risk, highlight the policy and click on Cancel on Risk Pending. This will remove the policy from Auto on Risk and the policy will return to only existing as a quote. Amend Auto on Risk policy prior to mortgage completion If you wish to amend any details on an Auto on Risk policy, you can do this prior to mortgage completion by removing the policy from Auto on Risk as above, selecting the original quote for the policy, amending where necessary and re-submitting selecting Auto on Risk. Move from Auto on Risk to Manually Put on Risk (existing functionality) If you wish to move a policy from Auto on Risk to Manually Put on Risk, you can do this prior to mortgage completion by cancelling the policy from Auto on Risk as above. Select the original quote for the policy, select Manually Put on Risk (enter the date you require) and re-quote as per existing process. Mortgage fails to complete If the mortgage fails to complete within 6 months you will need to re-quote the GI application as GI Quotes are only valid for 6 months. Free cover on exchange of contracts We will provide free Buildings cover for the period covering exchange of contracts and for those that start where Auto on Risk is being used.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION Error in information transfer If for any reason there was an error in transmitting information from your mortgage application to the GI Online system, an Error message will be displayed. In this instance, the GI Online system will still launch, however you will need to complete the quotation stages manually as no prepopulation will have occurred. Login Details for GI Online system Whilst on screen messages are visible, the system will be validating your GI authorisations and login details. You will not need to log into the GI Online system, if you initially logged into Intermediaries Online. Payee Details for GI If your mortgage payee details are available for GI commission payments, this will be used automatically. However, if you have different payee routes depending on the type of business you are submitting, you may be required to select from a drop down list of payee routes on entrance to the GI online system. (Please see below.)
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION Refer option Please DO NOT use this option as this is no longer used by our GI Call Centre. If you decide not to provide a GI quote for your clients. During the mortgage application process you can at a later date, still pre populate the data held on the mortgage by using the GI quote button. By using this method you will need to use your log in credentials.
