Prior to drafting any contract of goods and services, the responsible party of the decedent who is handling the funeral arrangements is entitled to receive a copy of any preneed arrangement in possession of the funeral establishment that has been signed and paid for, in full or in part, by or on behalf of the decedent. The goods and services shown in this General Price List are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement describing the funeral goods and services. It is the policy of this firm that professional fees are paid in full twenty four hours prior to services being rendered. For your convenience we accept checks, cash or major credit cards. Additionally, we may accept assignable insurance policies upon verification. BASIC SERVICES OF FUNERAL DIRECTOR AND STAFF: Our charge includes consultation with the family or responsible party; staff and facilities to respond to initial requests for services, coordinating service plans with cemetery, crematory and/or other parties involved in the final disposition of the decedent; Notification to Social Security, securing official documents and necessary registrations and sheltering of the decedent. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select.(this fee is already included in our charges for direct cremation, immediate burial and forwarding or receiving remains) $ 995.00 EMBALMING: $ 625.00 Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain furneral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for this service., such as direct cremation or immediate burial. Embalming is the disinfection and temporary chemical preservation of the remains by a professional licensee of the State of California. Local Transfer of Decedent into our care by one staff member from hospital/coroner morgue. Embalming (non-autopsy). Obtaining and filing death cerfiticate. Local transportation by van to Sacramento International Airport. (Air Tray, Combo Unit, Casket, Airline or other shipping charges not included) RECEIVING OF REMAINS FROM ANOTHER FUNERAL HOME $ 995.00 (When no services are conducted) This charge includes: Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Re-filing of necessary disposition permit, Local Transportation of the Decedent to Cemetery or Crematory. IMMEDIATE BURIALS This Service includes; basic service and staff, local transfer of the remains to funeral home; other preparation and care of the body, refrigeration, securing necessary permits and local transportation to the cemetery. This charge does not include casket, visitation, rites or ceremonies prior to interment of the body. $1,295.00 DIRECT CREMATION $995.00 Our charge for Direct Cremation (without ceremony) includes: Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Local Morgue Transfer of Decedent into our care by one staff member, Placement of Decedent into selected cremation container or casket, Transfer to Crematory by van, Cremation Fee *up to 300 pounds*, and Notification to Social Security. This process can take up to 14 days depending upon death certificate signature by doctor, health department hours and crematory scheduling. Packages do not include casket, sales tax, cemetery fees, death certificates, newspaper charges, flowers, evening, weekend, or holiday services, secondary staff member, if required, or any other cash advances. Statement of Company Policies Concerning Cremation we will strive to accomplish the cremation as quickly as we can, but we will not guarantee a time frame for completion unless an expediency cremation is arranged. Unembalmed bodies will be handled as little as possible by the staff due to health concerns. Un-embalmed bodies will not be dressed unless the family wishes. Immediate family only may view un-embalmed bodies. The Funeral home will not be responsible for the appearance of an un-embalmed body. Viewing will be limited to one session so we may limit the amount of handling of the body. No Viewing of un-embalmed autopsied bodies will take place until embalming is complete. No one other than licensed embalmers, and their assistants, funeral directors, and undertakers, public officers in the discharge of their official duties, and attending physicians and their assistants are permitted to enter the preparation room or any room marked "Private" or "Authorized Personnel Only". Personal Effects on the deceased at the time of death or personal effects placed on the deceased for viewing purposes will be buried or cremated with the deceased unless specifically requested to be returned. Ifyouwould like the personal effects of the deceased from the time of death (jewelry etc) please ask for them, if not, we reserve the right to leave all effects with the body. We reserve the right to refuse service.
