The prices for those items will be shown on your bill or statement describing the funeral goods and services selected. The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, the funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. The fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.) Additional charges are only for those items that you select or that are required. If we are required by law or by a cemetery or crematory to use any items, we will explain the reason in writing. We accept check, cash, Visa, and MasterCard. All payments are due 48 hours prior to the funeral unless other suitable arrangements approved by Beddingfield Funeral Service have been made in advance. Prior to drafting any contract for goods or services, the responsible party or the decedent s survivor who is handling the funeral arrangements is entitled to receive a copy of any preneed agreement in the possession of the funeral establishment that has been signed and paid for, in full or in part, by or on behalf of the decedent. However, many cemeteries require that you have such a container so that the grave will not sink. Either a grave liner or a burial vault will satisfy these requirements. 2 Traditional Funeral Services Price List Itemized services are available. 1. Basic services and overhead of Funeral Director and staff. This includes the arrangement conference, processing death certificate and burial permit, securing services of clergy, church, cemetery or crematory, supplying necessary funeral personnel, and overhead of operating a 24-hour service. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremation, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.) $ Removal of deceased from place of death in Santa Clara County. $ Embalming. Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. However, embalming may be necessary if you select certain funeral arrangements such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial. $ Cosmetology, sanitizing, dressing, and casketing of remains. $ Use of hearse for funeral services in Santa Clara County. $ Use of equipment and staff for funeral service or viewing in church or other facility. Four hour maximum. $75.00 per hour after four hours. $ Use of equipment and staff for a graveside service. $ TOTAL PRICE: $3, DISCOUNTED PRICE: We offer a $400 package discount if the casket is purchased from us and payment is made by cash or check. Additional Services Available: $2, Home removal (requires a second attendant). $ Evening, weekend, and holiday service fee. $ Identification viewing. (Fifteen minute maximum with a capacity of 10 people.) $ DVD tribute. Includes two copies of DVD. Additional copies are $25.00 each. Refrigeration of deceased (in lieu of embalming). Five day maximum. This includes the arrangement conference, recording vital statistics for procurement of death certificate and permits, removal of the deceased in Santa Clara County, five days of refrigeration, delivery to the crematory, the crematory fee, and delivery of the ashes to our office. On average, this service is performed within five working days. If you need the cremated remains sooner, see RUSH fee below, otherwise no time is promised as to when cremation will be performed. $1, Basic Cremation Service with Alternative Container (corrugated fiberboard). $1, Basic Cremation Service with Casket (casket price not included). $1, Oversize Cremation Service. This includes basic cremation with oversize container, additional staff, equipment, and facilities necessary to handle human remains weighing over 300 pounds. We offer a $50.00 discount if payment is made by cash or check. If you would like to arrange a direct cremation you may use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and may be made of materials like fiberboard and composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are made of corrugated fiberboard. Forwarding remains to another Funeral Director includes recording vital statistics for procurement of death certificate and burial permit, removal from place of death in Santa Clara County, standard embalming, arrangements with airline or transportation companies and notification of the receiving funeral director. (Does not include airline charges.) 2. Receiving remains from another funeral director includes professional services of a Funeral Director and staff, removal from airlines, arrangements for securing services of clergy, church, cemetery, or crematory, supplying necessary Funeral personnel and overhead of operating a 24-hour service. Direct Burials are as follows: 1. Direct burial with no services includes recording vital statistics for procurement of death certificate and burial permit, removal from place of death in Santa Clara County, refrigeration, and delivery by hearse to a cemetery in Santa Clara County. 2. Direct burial as above with container provided by the family. Note: The container must meet all cemetery regulations. To determine the regulations of a particular cemetery, please contact the cemetery directly. $1, to $2, Direct burial as above with minimum casket available. $2, Direct burial as above with other casket selected at the mortuary.
