DAY 1: USA / SPAIN (Friday) Fly through the night to Málaga, located in la Costa del Sol. DAY 2: MÁLAGA (Saturday) Welcome to Spain! A Forum representative will meet you at the airport and will help you transfer to La Brisa. Upon arrival, meet your host family. Dinner and night accommodation with your host family. LA BRISA IMMERSION PROGRAM Málaga is a beautiful seaside city, capital of the famous Costa de Sol. During the host family program students will be placed two per home sharing a twin room and they will have daily breakfast and dinner with the host families. DAY 3: MÁLAGA (Sunday) This morning, meet your Forum Tour Manager and transfer to Málaga. Begin your day with a visit to the Alcazaba and Gibralfaro, a Moorish fortress built in the 8 th century. Tour the ruins and see the partially excavated Roman Amphitheatre. Have some free time for lunch. This afternoon, enjoy a visit of the Picasso Museum. This museum is devoted to Malaga s most famous son. See its impressive collection lent by Picasso s family. Then, enjoy a stroll on Málaga s sea port: Muelle Uno. DAY 4: MÁLAGA / GRANADA (Monday) This morning, meet your Forum Tour Manager and board your private motor coach to Granada. Visit the magnificent Alhambra. Enjoy a guided tour through the Alcazaba (the fort), the Generalife (gardens), Charles V s Palace, and the Nasrid Palaces. Explore the Albaycin quarter, across the gorge from la Alhambra. Walk through la calle de lasteterias up to the Mirador San Nicolas. DAY 5: MÁLAGA / CÓRDOBA (Tuesday) This morning, meet your Forum Tour Manager at the school and board your private motor coach to Córdoba. The former capital of the three cultures, it once was one of the greatest centers of art, culture and learning in the Western world during the Middle Ages.
Enjoy a guided tour of the fabulous Mezquita, an 8th century Mosque and one of the most beautiful examples of Spanish Muslim art. After some free time for lunch, discover the Jewish Quarter and the Synagogue. DAY 6: MÁLAGA / CADIZ (Wednesday) This morning, say a fond hasta pronto to your Spanish hosts. Meet your Forum Tour Manager and board your private motor coach to Cadiz. One of the oldest cities in Europe, is was founded by the Phoenician 3000 years ago. On arrival, visit a local school and get to interact with local students your age. After some free time for lunch, enjoy a stroll through Bahía de la Caleta promenade. See the Castillo de Santa Catalina, a fortress built in the 17th century which served as a military prison. Continue to Puerto De Santa Maria for dinner and night DAY 7: CADIZ / SEVILLA (Thursday) After breakfast, drive to Sevilla. On arrival, enjoy a guided tour of the city. You ll have the opportunity to enter the Alcazar - a fortress built by the Moors. Then, visit the Cathedral - the largest Gothic construction in all of Europe; La Giralda, a minaret built in the 12th century; and, of course, La Plaza de España. After some free time for lunch, learn more about Andalusian culture with a visit to the Flamenco Museum. Partake in a 45-minute Flamenco dance class. After, see the artists in action as you observe a live Flamenco show. Tonight, enjoy dinner with your group in a local restaurant. DAY 8: SEVILLA / JAEN (Friday) After breakfast, board your private bus to Jaen. On arrival, meet your local guide and enjoy a guided tour of the city. Begin with a visit to the cathedral. Dedicated to the Asunción de la Virgen, it is also the biggest Renaissance cathedral in Spain. After, take a walk through the narrow, Moorish-like streets that surround the cathedral towards the Santuario. The statues used in the processions before Easter are kept here. Walk through Barrio San Ildefonso towards the ancient city walls in the Casco Antiguo (old town) to get a real feel of Spain. Have some free time for lunch in the area. This afternoon, visit the Plaza de Toros where all bullfighting takes place. Then, head to The Castle of Santa Catalina. Built on the highest hill of the city Enjoy the views of the city and the olive plantations.
Dinner with your group in a local restaurant. Night accommodation in Jaen. DAY 9: JAEN / ALFARNATE / MÁLAGA (Saturday) After breakfast, board your private bus to Málaga. En route, stop at Alfarnate! Visit a local olive oil factory, see a typical Andalusia house and try some of the local delicacies, such as: almonds, honey and figs. As the highlight of your visit, indulge in a lunch in the houses of the locals of Alfarnate! After lunch, continue to Málaga and check-in at your hotel. Have some free time for last minute souvenir shopping. Enjoy a farewell dinner with your group at a local restaurant. DAY 10: DEPART (Sunday) After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Malaga airport and catch your flight back to the USA.
