Our Fremont campus serves high school juniors and seniors from the following school districts: Bettsville, lyde, Fremont Ross, Fremont St. Joseph, Fostoria, Fostoria St. Wendelin, Gibsonburg, Lakota, Old Fort, and Port linton. The new facility provides 145,000 square feet of educational opportunities for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors as well as adult education students. Academic classes at The Vanguard Tech enter utilize the latest teaching strategies using blended learning online learning combined with face-to-face instruction. Academics at The Vanguard Tech enter include: English 11 & 12 Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-alculus & Trigonometry Environmental Science, Biology, hemistry, Anatomy/Physiology & Physics Senior Government, Global Economics Entrance Requirements In order to attend The Vanguard Tech enter, students must: Have junior status in high school, or be in their third year of high school Have a total of 7 high school credits, 5 of which must be earned through the core curriculum: English, math, science, social studies, health, and/or physical education In addition, students may choose one of our five complete ollege Ready programs or utilize the post-secondary option through our career programs. It is recommended to have a GPA of at least 2.5 and successfully pass one or more portions of the ompass Test. The ompass test is a college readiness test to evaluate a student s level of Reading, Writing and ath. Those who take advantage of the post-secondary option receive college transcripted In addition, many of our programs offer articulated credit. (T)² areer Technical redit Transfer The Vanguard Tech enter is in the process of having several programs approved by the state for areertechnical redit Transfer (T)². Students who complete a program that is (T)² approved are guaranteed transferable credits to any of Ohio's public colleges and universities. The number of credits that are transferable varies for each program, but (T)² approval gives individuals a head start at any public college or university in the state. (T)² helps more high school students go to college and enter with college credit and saves money and time. Ohio business and industry also benefit by hiring employees with higher education and advanced skills. Programs with (T)² approval: Auto Technology areers in Education ulinary Arts Digital Technologies Welding Programs seeking (T)² approval: Design, Engineering & Architecture Engineering Technologies & Robotics edical Aide edical areers Sophomore Exploration Through the Sophomore Exploration program, students can experience a variety of career-technical programs to help guide them in their career decision-making. The Sophomore Exploration program allows students to choose from a variety of schedules to meet their academic and career exploration needs. STUDENT ATIVITIES 3 An integral part of The Vanguard Tech enter philosophy is the belief that students should be provided opportunities to grow and develop as citizens as well as to become skilled members of society. Students are encouraged to participate in the social and learning opportunities offered through membership in a areer-technical Student Organization such as: Business Professionals of America (BPA); DEA (association of marketing students); Family, areer and ommunity Leaders of America (FLA); Future Farmers of America (FFA); and SkillsUSA. Vanguard Tech enter students also have the opportunity to participate in the Ambassador Program; National Technical Honor Society; or become one of the local Rotary lub or Exchange lub students of the month. Second year students also have the opportunity to participate in work placement during the school day, allowing them to earn high school credits while earning a wage and getting real-world experience. Graduation The Vanguard Tech enter confers three different certificates for those who complete their graduation requirements: ertificate of ompletion with Honors - for students who maintain an average grade of A and a 97% or better attendance record ertificate of ompletion with Achievement - for those who maintain a grade average of or better and a 93% or better attendance record ertificate of ompletion - for students who receive a passing grade and maintain a 90% attendance record

AUTOOTIVE TEHNOLOG 4 Designed to prepare young adults for the beginning of a spirited and rewarding career in Automotive Technology and Repair and/or to further their educational career in a post-secondary setting. Students learn skills for basic auto repair and maintenance, on board diagnostics, wheels and tires as well as powertrain and driveline theory and operation in this challenging two-year program. Individuals become well versed in areas such as brakes & braking systems and electrical and electronics that are in line with today's industry repair standards. Benefits of this program include: ASE ertification testing with certificates of completion, articulation agreements with local colleges, and work placement for seniors. Students have the option to earn up to 11 college transcripted BUILDING & GROUNDS AINTENANE This two-year career-training program is designed for individuals with special needs. Students spend one-half of the school day in a lab setting and the other half-day with a licensed intervention specialist in an academic classroom. This allows students to earn the necessary credit required for graduation while developing the job skills needed for gainful employment. A smaller class size allows for individual attention when needed. our FUTURE! BUSINESS ANAGEENT The program focuses on four areas: Introduction to Business, Introduction to arketing, Entrepreneurship, and Finance. Students in Business anagement have the opportunity to participate in DEA, a areer-technical Student Organization that provides opportunities to sharpen skills in local, regional and state competitions. Students have the opportunity to earn 14 college transcripted ARPENTR Teaches teamwork while building a house or working on a major project based on the customer's specifications. The project allows students to develop skills in blueprint reading, framing, roofing, sub-flooring, stairway/rafter construction, dry walling, insulation, safety, tool use, material selection and other construction techniques needed in residential or commercial carpentry. The program is affiliated with NER through the auspices of the Ohio Department of Education, which guarantees articulation agreements with every post-secondary institution that recognizes our NER affiliation. Students also become certified in First-Aid & PR and complete an OSHA onstruction 10-hour safety course. Students have the opportunity to earn 11 college transcripted credits and 3 articulated OLLISION REPAIR Utilizes the latest in automotive collision equipment and products to teach students how to repair and refinish all types of damaged vehicle bodies. Students are fully involved in topics such as structural analysis and damage repairs; non-structural analysis and damage repairs; mechanical and electrical components; plastics and adhesives; painting and refinishing; and basic shop and safety practices. Those who complete the program are prepared to meet the requirements of industry standards and ASE certification. Students have the opportunity to earn 7 college transcripted OSETOLOG This two-year competency career program is designed to prepare 11th and 12th grade students to successfully pass the Ohio State Board of osmetology Examination and enter into employment as a licensed cosmetologist. The first year teaches the basic manipulative skills necessary for customer service activities and an overview of all related technology pertaining to performance. In the second year these skills are refined, and an in-depth study of related technology concerning chemistry, electricity, anatomy, physiology, and salon management is undertaken as well as the review of all practical subject applications. Individuals learn all principles of drafting to produce detailed technical, engineering and architectural drawings by using the latest industry computer programs. Along with making 2D and 3D AD drawings, students use the most recent technology within the classroom to create real world 3D models of their designs. They also train on Laser Engraving technology and design software. There are many related job opportunities for students completing the two years in this program including, but not limited to: AD, Engineering, anufacturing, N, and Designer.
