Operating and connecting the AC-distribution unit 1. General ADU68140 series is designed for AC-distribution of Powernet DAC60000 inverter systems. Units can be used also for DC-distribution systems. Distribution unit may have up to 20pcs of 1-pole MCBs, up to 10pcs or 2-pole MCBs or up to 5pcs of schuko power outlets. Auxiliary alarm contact can be included to 1-pole or 2-pole MCBs. Optionally the distribution unit may include also residual current devices (RCD) or 3-phase distribution. In large systems several distribution units can be used to reach required number of MCB outputs. MCBS are operated from front panel and cable entry from rear or left or right side of the 19 sub-rack. 2. Mounting the distribution unit to 19 The frame unit is mounted to the 19 rack cabinet by 4pcs of M6 (M5) screws from the front panel. ADU68140 units do not require additional space between other 19 sub-racks. 3. ADU unit front panel Remove the front panel by releasing M3 screws (4pcs) before connecting cables. After cable connection fasten it back to original position. Coverplates for MCBs are mounted in factory based on MCB quantity in order. These can be modified later in field if more MCBs are installed. 4. Connecting the cables See figures 1-8: 4.1 Cable Entry Cable entry for input and output cables can be done either from rear side of ADU unit or from right or left side of the 19 cabinet. There is plastic cable channel (refer figure 1) with several openings to make the optimal wiring based on application. There is separate screw terminal for input and output wires. Make sure of necessary strain relief of all cables in 19 cabinet. 4.2 Input connection Make sure that power is OFF before connecting input cables. Mains input L and N or DC + and - is connected to input switch S1 screw terminals. Separate PE rail is located inside the unit, which has galvanic connection to PE bolt in the rear side of the unit. S1 is 2-pole 125A switch to manually turn the unit ON or OFF. Choose correct input cable size based on based on maximum summary load of distribution unit. In maximum configuration (125A) 35mm 2 cable should be used. 4.3 Load connection 1-pole system (ADU68140, ADU68143) Make sure that power is OFF from ADU or from that MCB, which load is connected. Connect load 1 Live wire to free screw terminal in MCB 1 (U 1 F1 OUT 1 in diagram). Load 1 Neutral or non fused DC-line screw terminal (U 2 OUT 1) is located in U 2 rail and PE terminal (PE OUT 1) in PE rail above of MCBs. Repeat same procedure for all 1 20 load outputs. 4.4 Load connection 2-pole system (ADU68141) Make sure that power is OFF from ADU or from that MCB, which load is connected. Both U 1 and U 2 load wires are connected to MCB screw terminals. There is free screw terminals for U 1 and U 2 in MCB, PE outputs are in PE rail. Repeat same procedure for all 1 10 load outputs. 4.5 Grounding Make sure that power is OFF before connecting cables. Connect the grounding cable to the PE bolt X1 or to free terminal in right side of PE rail. Choose correct cable size based on based on max summary load of distribution unit.
