Welcome Address Dear colleagues, We do appreciate to have the opportunity to welcoming orthopaedic surgeons from different European countries to the Uzsoki Hospital for the 24th EFORT IC - Instructional Course which will be held for the third time in Hungary in its wonderful capital Budapest. The Orthopaedic Department of Uzsoki Hospital, founded more than 100 years ago as one of the first institutions of this speciality, has reached a position of being one of the centres of joint reconstruction surgery with a special focus on arthroscopic procedures including cartilage reconstruction, ACL surgery and different techniques of realignment operations and minimally invasive trauma. Minimal-invasive techniques have reached significant popularity in recent years, Uzsoki was one of the centres first introducing MIS hip and knee arthroplasty in Hungary. Revision arthroplasty also claims for significant scientific and technical interest. Four live surgeries will demonstrate tips and tricks of mosaicplasty, double-bundle ACL reconstruction, MIS hip and knee arthroplasty. We hope to see new techniques in 3 workshops and have substantial time for thoughtful discussions between sessions with international faculty. We do trust your stay will be enjoyable and your expectations will be fully satisfied in Uzsoki Hospital and Budapest.
