Procedure for admission of International students for full time Undergraduate Courses at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Deemed University, Karad. Step 1: Students should fill the application form for International Admission which is available on the website. Step 2: Submit it along with the true copies of transcripts, certificates along with the required fees. This should be done well in time so that the student is able to obtain the visa and NOC before the due date of admission. Step 3: The Foreign National candidate shall obtain equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi. (for more details see section Equivalence Certificate ) Step 4: Get the provisional admission letter from the International Students Cell of KIMSDU in order to obtain the visa. Step 5: Present this letter to the Indian Embassy in his/her country and get a student visa endorsed to KIMSDU. NRI/PIO/OCI students do not require a visa. Step 6: Convey your acceptance to KIMSDU immediately. Submit all the required documents in original along with one set of true copies & 6 photographs (size : 30mm x 35mm) and pay the required fees within stipulated time. Step 7: Admission of international students will be confirmed only after submission of original certificates, medical fitness test and payment of required fees. Step 8: Within a week of arrival in India register names with the police in the Foreigner Regional Registration Office (FRRO) of the District Police Station. Equivalence Certificate Applicant shall directly approach the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi, and obtain the equivalence certificate. Supporting documents required at the time of application (a set of true copies) Transcripts of 10 + 2 / Equivalent Examination IELTS certificate in case if English is not taken at + 2/equivalent level. Equivalence certificate issued by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi or receipt of the application. Important information / instructions Only students having qualification recognized as equivalent to 12 th by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) are eligible for admission. Applications will be considered only on merit. Foreign national candidates will be given preference over NRI/PIO/OCI candidates. Institute reserves the right to accept or reject the application without any explanation. No admission will be confirmed till the payment of first year tuition fee and the documents in original are submitted to the office within stipulated time. On failing to do so, admission will be considered as canceled without any communication and the seat will be offered to next candidate in the list. No representation will be considered after that. Admission will be under peril even on payment of fees and submission of documents if candidate could not obtain valid student visa endorsed to Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Deemed University, Karad, wherever applicable, before joining the course in person. After admission annual fees should be paid proactively by Month of May every year, failure to do so will result in suspension from the classes till the payment of fees and the absentee will be calculated accordingly in addition to a fine of $10 per day. In case of Foreign National, student should actively cooperate in police registration, NOCs, renewals of residential permits etc, through the International Students Cell. The original certificates will remain with the Institute till student pass the course.
Discipline The international students should abide by all the rules of Institution and the code of conduct as framed by the Institute from time to time Examination and Award of Degrees & Diplomas The procedure for examination, payment of examination fees, issue of mark list, issue of passing certificates and award of degrees will be same as for the Indian students doing same course. Transfers & Change of Course An international student who has been granted admission to a particular course shall not be allowed to change the course. Transfer from one institution in India to another is also not allowed. Government sponsored scholars International students who are awarded scholarships by the Indian Government shall be given preferential treatment while granting admission and for hostel accommodation. Sponsored candidates from different foreign governments for training and studies will be given preference for the same. Additional clarifications In case there are any differences on the interpretation of rules then the opinion of the International Students Cell will be final. The fees are liable to revision and students will have to pay the revised fees when applicable. On the points not specifically covered, the decision of KIMSDU authorities will be final. Hostel Accommodation Hostel for International students is available in the campus on twin sharing basis. Rooms are air-conditioned and are well furnished with cupboard, table, chair, bed with mattress, pillow & sheets, hot & cold water in bath etc. Hostel kitchen is multi cuisine which serves Indian, continental & Chinese food primarily. Laundry services are available in the hostel on minimal charges.
