EXHIBITOR ANALYSIS Compared to 2013, there was an increase of 28% in international exhibitors at this edition, with the UK Pavilion, Korea Pavilion and Taiwan Pavilion coming on board. The rise in international exhibitors reflected the confidence of foreign investors and the recognition of Vietnam as one of the region s most dynamic maritime destinations. Increased participation from Vietnamese companies highlighted the local industry s determination to progress in the maritime sector as well as the strong support from endorsing government ministries. KEY ACTIVITIES Press Conference Held at the New World Saigon Hotel on 16 March 2015, the press conference was attended by many local and regional press reporters representing various business newspapers, magazines, radio and television media agencies. Opening Ceremony The official opening ceremony of HVACR/PS Vietnam and INMEX Vietnam 2015 on 18 March 2015 was graced by many honorary dignitaries and industry players, including: Mrs Ho Thi Kim Thoa Vice Minister - Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) Mr David Bondi COO Informa Exhibitions Asia Mr Nguyen Khac Luan General Director - VINEXAD Mr Henk Lacet International Maritime Consultant/ Advisor INMEX, Member of Honour Holland Marine Equipment. Technical Seminars Technical Seminars held alongside the exhibition were a valuable learning source for all visitors to the show. These programs were conducted solely by the exhibiting companies and provided visitors with an amazing opportunity to get closer to the products and technologies showcased at the event. Exhibitors Networking Dinner VIP guests, industry association representatives and exhibitors gathered together at the Official Hotel - Windsor Hotel Saigon on 18 March, for an evening of networking in a more relaxed setting. Netherlands Maritime Technology (NMT) was delighted to be part of the INMEX Vietnam 2015 again. This edition was definitely with more quality visitors and shown international as well. The possibility to visit Triyards and VARD in Vung Tau was also of added value. The event went well and was all we were hoping for. We will definitely be back in 2017. KEY ACTIVITIES B2B Hosted Buyer Meeting Exhibitors met with key decision makers of leading maritime companies like Triyards Vung Tau, Hai Minh Shipyard, Vinashin, South East Asian Shipyards (SEAS) and Strategic Marine to gain a better understanding of the maritime industry s capabilities in Vietnam. Lucky Draws Lucky draws for visitors were held on all three exhibition days, giving away 3 electronic tablets and 6 portable speakers. Shipyard Visit Guided tours to the Vung Tau region were organized exclusively for exhibitors the following day after the exhibition on 21 March 2015. The Shipyard Visit Programme brought exhibitors to prominent shipyards such as Triyards (Vung Tau) and VARD Shipyard Vung Tau (formerly known as STX Marine). These shipyard visits were great for exhibitors to meet the decision makers of the shipyards as well as tour the facilities onsite. INMEX was once again a great opportunity to showcase our service and products. Above all, it was a perfect occasion to gather marine professionals and to develop, maintain or even create new business partnership.
