Pg. 8 Other News Pg. 9 FALL MEETING KEY SPEAKER: CHEF MICHAEL RODDEY We are pleased to announce that Chef Michael Roddey will be our Keynote Speaker at the Indiana ANFP Fall Meeting in Indianapolis on October 1 st and 2 nd at the Marten House. Chef Michael is a visionary and distinguished chef with over 20 plus years experience of award winning high profile comprehensive and progressive service in the Culinary Arts industry, ranging from his service as a Personal, Lead and Pastry Chef to serving as Department Chair and Professor within Culinary Arts & Hospitality Education. Some of Chef Roddey s Experiences range from preparing for the 2002 Olympic dedication party in Salt Lake City for the Samsung Athlete Center serving food representing The five multi- colored Olympic Rings or continents. He has also catered the cast and crew of TV and movie productions and has cooked first hand for stars including, Roma Downey, Treat Williams, Kathy Bates, Jane Krakowski, Chris Pratt, and many more. Chef Roddey has a full list of accomplishments to his credit which would include being a member of ANFP. We are thrilled to have Chef Michael speak at this year s fall meeting we hope that you make plans to attend this year s Indiana ANFP Fall Meeting. Presidents Message To all Indiana ANFP members I would like to thank everyone who attended the spring meeting at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville Indiana. We had a special guest Sam Anderson CDM, CFPP who did a presentation on different personality types. I want to remind everyone to check out the Indiana ANFP Facebook, we now have our own webpage. We are planning the fall 2015 meeting for October 1 st & 2 nd at the Marten House in Indianapolis, information will be in this newsletter and a mass emailing that will be going out, we listened to the membership and the meeting will be in the same hotel that we have blocked rooms. Keep an eye out for further information. I hope everyone is have a great and safe summer and I look forward to seeing everyone at the fall meeting. SECRETARY S REPORT APRIL, 24 2015 SPRING STATE BUSINESS MEETING Meeting was called to order by President Elect Rose Williams CDM/CFPP at 12:05pm. She thanked everyone for attending. And thanked Beth Summers for hosting the meeting. Rose then introduced Sam Anderson CDM/CFPP Secretary s Report was read, it was then motioned by Beth Summers and second by Jacque Maxson, Approved. Treasurers Report was read, it was then motioned by Jeri Heskett and second by Lawrence, Approved. Nomination was made and approved for Administrator of the Year which will be presented at the fall meeting. Roll Call: District One: 18, District Two: 10, District Three: 8, Students: 1, First Timers: 2 (First timers also received a code of ethics) Ohio State Member: 1, National Representative: 1. Newsletter/Webmaster Report: The newsletter has a different look to it, the newsletter was uploaded to the Indiana ANFP website and 18 hardcopies were mailed. The hardcopy mailing list was updated and members no longer a part of the association were omitted. The webmaster will be sending out mass mailings the middle of each of month to update the membership on meeting information and announcements. A new laptop computer was purchased last night and the webmaster is to be in charge of it. Reporting own CEU S and members can now be audited by National. Offered his help to all members. Travel Coordinator: Trying to get info out. States Spokesperson: Day to go to state-last week of June, Monday or Tuesday-please contact Alyssa Wiseman I will serve forms for President Elect and Treasurer are available. Marg Smith has stepped down from the State President s position. Rose Williams is now acting State President. Nominations for President Elect: Bob Milligan and Jamie Flick, each nominee gave their bio. There will be an online ballot voting to be concluded by June 1 st 2015. Asking nominations for Treasurer A vote was held to have Rose Williams serve as President/President Elect Nominations were made to have GFS be the vendor of the year. NEW BUSINESS: Indiana ANFP now has a Facebook page Indiana ANFP now has a laptop computer to be used by the webmaster the webmaster will also be in charge of the laptop. Fall Meeting will be held October 1 st & 2 nd 2015, Location: The Marten House on 86 th Street in Indianapolis, The meeting will be held in the same location as the lodging. Registration for the fall meeting will be $90.00, Room Rate is %79.00, 30 Rooms have been blocked for the fall meeting. District Reports: Reminders- Sending welcome letters to all new members Bob gave timelines to the state officers at the Executive Board Meeting Members can attend any district meeting Meeting we adjourned at 12:43pm.
