Web Developer & Content Manager Salary: 27,017-32,455 (incl LWA) Trinity Laban is the leading conservatoire of music and dance comprising of Trinity College of Music and the Laban school of contemporary dance. Primarily the Web Developer & Content Manager will be responsible for delivering or overseeing the design of web pages, including graphics, animation and functionality. To develop web page infrastructure and application related to pages with more advanced graphics and features. Additionally, you will need to work collaboratively to ensure that all colleagues understand and embrace the role of the web and its full potential as a communication and educational tool. You will also have the opportunity to assist the Head of Marketing & Communications in the planning of overall company strategy regarding web development and search engine optimisation. The role requires demonstrable commercial experience with web content management systems or online marketing, HTML and SharePoint applications. Furthermore, some management experience would be desirable in order to line manage the post of Web Content Officer, with a view to overseeing consistency and quality of design and content for the website and adherence to milestones and deadlines with regards to web based projects. As a collaborative team player, you will be working alongside colleagues specialising in web development, brand, graphic design, marketing, student recruitment and public relations. JobDescription Post: Department: Reporting to: Staff Responsibility for: Web Developer and Content Manager Marketing & Communications Head of Marketing & Communications Web Content Officer Grade: 6 OBJECTIVES: To help manage the family of Trinity Laban websites, to become best-in-class in the performing arts higher education category, both in the UK and internationally; To assist the Head of Marketing & Communications in the planning of overall institutional strategy regarding web development, contant, analytics, design, SEO and all digital content; To oversee that standards of best practice and continuity are adhered to in all writing and design for the website and that non-digital design and branding strives to be compatible with the website; Working with the Head of Marketing & Communications to ensure that the website meets brand and visual ID guidelines and drives the strategice priorities of the institution; To maximise the communication and profile-raising potential of the website through the use of innovative and sophisticated contect and technologies; To co-ordinate web content management systems and usage across the Trinity Laban organisation; To ensure that all Trinity Laban websites contain the necessary statutory information and features to comply fully with the requirements of higher education establishments; Work with other Managers and Departments to update, drive forward and monitor a complex project management schedule. To ensure that milestones and deadlines are on track and inform the Head of Marketing & Communications of any potential delays.

MAIN DUTIES: Dynamic and creative content Working closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications, oversee and contribute to the creation of original, dynamic content from internal and external partners and suppliers, using animation, streaming video, downloadable performance recordings etc, that bring to life the creative, academic and artistic achievements of Trinity Laban s colleges and performance venues. Use programming, software and front-end development skills to manage existing pages and inform all new online development and innovation. Oversee and ensure the use of superior content to drive key aspects of Trinity Laban s business performance, such as student recruitment, performance marketing effectiveness and stakeholder relationship management. Statutory and formal / corporate content Oversee the gathering and organisation of all formal data and corporate information to be published across the family of Trinity Laban websites, to ensure they are and remain fully compliant with all the statutory requirements of a higher education institution giving due consideration of accessibility and usability requirements. Content management and refreshment Oversee a delegated content management system that allows users and producers throughout the Trinity Laban organisation to add and update their own news and information to designated areas of the websites. Oversee and ensure the delivery of time-sensitive content via the Trinity Laban websites, including performances, courses and programme content, seasonal events and promotions. Oversee and manage the monitoring of content and usage across the Trinity Laban organisation, to ensure that content is comprehensive, always current and continuously refreshed. Relationships with contributors and producers Oversee and manage the development of good relationships with data owners and contributors throughout the Trinity Laban organisation, to ensure that their programmes and activities are well represented on the appropriate websites. Oversee the management and development of a calendar and processes for reviewing and updating information published on all Trinity Laban websites. Contribution to marketing and communications campaigns Working closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications, to oversee and/or deliver design and content as determined, as well as delivery strategies for assessing ROI of marketing campaigns.

Work collaboratively within the Trinity Laban Marketing and Communications team, to ensure that all colleagues understand and embrace the role of the web and its full potential as a communication and educational tool. Line Manage the post of Web Content Officer. Understand the objectives and strategies of the Marketing and Communications team, in order to contribute ideas and initiatives that enhance their effectiveness. Understand and manage how Trinity Laban websites will align to other developments, such as data management for Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) and automated box office integration. Analyse and present web statistics and analytics that measure and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and the behaviour of customers/users. Oversee the review of the websites and e-marketing activities of Trinity Laban s key competitors and peer group in the creative arts and education sectors. Other digital channels Manage the Web Content Officer and support colleagues in publishing their content via other digital channels, such as the Trinity Laban intranet and extranet, Emails, Ecards, Eflyers, SMS, LCD and plasma display screens. Manage and delegate maintenance efforts for our social networking sites. Collaboration with other departments Work collaboratively with other Trinity Laban departments, such as Development, Registry and IT, to ensure that websites are valuable to their needs, and that they also contribute positively to the enhancement of Trinity Laban s web resources. Carry out any other duties that may be reasonably required by the Head of Marketing & Communications. Continuous learning Keep up to date with software developments and new applications of web technologies and strategies. Anticipate possible future applications of web technologies, such as e-learning, that could be built into today s website design.

WEB DEVELOPER AND CONTENT MANAGER CONDITIONS OF SERVICE SUMMARY Contract: Permanent Full time. Salary Scale: Trinity Laban Staff Salary Scale, Grade 6, 27,017-32,455 p.a., inclusive of a London Weighting Allowance of 3,356 p.a. Salaries are paid on the last working day of each month direct into bank or building society accounts. Hours: Location: Annual Leave: 35 hours per week, normally 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. You will be based at the Laban site and will visit other local sites as required. 25 days, in addition to Statutory, Bank and Public Holidays. Pension Scheme: The successful candidate, will be eligible to join the Universities Superannuation Scheme. Employees contribute at the rate of 6.35% of the pensionable salary. The College pays the Employers contribution currently at the rate of 16.1% of pensionable salary. Sick Pay: Car Parking: Cafeterias: Trinity Laban operates the Statutory Sick Pay Scheme, and staff may be eligible for benefits in excess of this under Trinity Laban s own sick pay scheme. Subject to availability, a limited number of parking spaces are available at Laban. Our recently refurbished Cafeterias on both sites serve a range of hot and cold meals plus drinks and snacks.
